An 11 day quest has been released consisting of a traditional 16 step quest sequence in tandem with a Collection Mission. The reward for the Collection Mission is a Collectable in the form of the Rutabaga Basket. (Many of us call them Swedes without any attempt to diminish the dignity of the Swedish people or nation!)
For low level farmers, I suggest that you complete the Collection Mission first always. You will be able to find the item that is given as a Reward in the Market once the Quest expires but you will have to pay RC for it. Even if you cannot complete the traditional Quest sequence, performing as many tasks as possible will give you Coins and XP. In some cases, you will be able to access this Quest later through the Lighthouse but you will not be able to perform the Collection Mission linked to it once the 11 days expire.
This Quest has very few Crop tasks, comparatively speaking, but is heavy on production. The final Reward is a Bagpipe Bear Decoration. I have added all relevant details now, but this one was slow for me for a number of reasons.
I almost made a decision to stop my work on this site after four years, but the number of farmers who have told me they still use my site and find it helpful was overwhelming, so I shall continue. If you have your own Facebook Group and use my site for input, you certainly are welcome to post a link or use the information as long as you give Freyashawk credit for it. That is fair, is it not?
For the first time in many months, Freyashawk's farm, Harvest Moon FDC did not place in the top ten in the Farm Beauty Contest. I was saddened by this, but when I looked at the number of Votes I did receive, I realised that farmers had worked hard to try to place me in the top ranks and for that, I am extremely grateful. I have been blessed to find many good friends through the years in the course of playing Family Farm Seaside and having the Family Farm Seaside Freyashawk Groups on Facebook. Note that the Tree required for the Collection Mission is the Quince Tree, a premium Tree. I have noticed an increasing tendency for players to request items in Chat rather than purchasing the source item. This can be good as a temporary solution but you really do better if you have all the premium Trees... they are required again and again in actual tasks, which means that you actually need to HARVEST them to complete the task. A tip for lower level players: look for the premium items in the various Mystron Shops on a daily basis if you do not have sufficient RC to purchase them. There are benefits to the purchase of premium items, however, especially if they are offered in the special sales. This is how you raise your Club Level quickly. Recently, the Oil Press was offered for the first time in a couple of years as a special offer, but it only appeared for players who had a high Country Club level.
The Rutabaga by the way is more popular in the U.K. than in the U.S. It is known as a Swede and is absolutely delicious when mashed and fixed with a little butter and salt. It is sweeter and less bitter than a turnip.
The White Goat is a premium animal needed for the Quest. The developers are using premium items in these quests more and more frequently.
TIP: Look at the list of tasks to see where to set the Monkey Boost for the day BEFORE you begin the Quest. I usually opt for the reduction of OP for Batch Production with these quests. It can make a significant difference.
