Seaside Farm and Island Farm Item Values

This information is given in a post on my site, and I am updating that first.  You will find the most recent version of this page at:

Reference to ALL Ingredients and Items

As of 17 February 2016, EVERY ingredient for any Kitchen Dish should be included in this list. Will be adding Beauty Shop ingredients today. You will find all items with their values and their uses included at the very end of this post.  It is older information but still useful.  I will be adding the same information to ingredients section as I am able, but meanwhile, you always can find it here at the end.

This list is designed to let farmers know the ingredients that are used in all Kitchen and Crafting Recipes.  They are organised in terms of type, with Crops, Tree Harvests, Animal Products and then Machine Products being listed first in succession, with Kitchen Dishes that are used as ingredients and Crafting and Seafood Items last.  Basic Recipes are given at the end for convenience.  I intend to add information about the items that are Achievements as well.

The actual order of items within the Category (Crops, Animal Product and so on) are based on the Order in which the Recipes are listed in the Kitchen and Beauty Shop.   This was the quickest way to list them and to be able to cross-reference ingredients.   There are many Cooked Dishes that are ingredients only for a single Recipe.  These tend to be the third Dish in any three-dish sequence that usually is linked to any time-restricted Mission.

Farmers should be able to look for an item and instantly see which Recipes use that item.  Knowing this should help them prepare in advance for Missions and other options such as the Daily Order Board.

I have appended some other useful lists from pages and posts from the past, including all Beauty Shop Recipes, Seafood Lists and a Bait Values List.  Currently, all Achievements are listed on my Achievements Page, but I have added a section here of all Achievements that deal with Crops, Trees, Animal Products, Machine Products and Cooking and Crafting items.

USING THIS LIST FOR INVESTMENTS
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Although the developers can choose ANY ingredient or Recipe for a Task, one can use this list to see which ingredients are required most often.  In the beginning, there were very few Trees and most of them could be purchased with Coins.  As time went on, Collections Missions tended to give either a Tree or a Collectable as a Reward and once those missions expired, that item was placed in the Market as a premium purchase, which means basically that one would have to use RC to purchase it.  Premium items do appear in the Green Mystrons Shop randomly, but generally speaking, you will need certain Trees more often than others and the sooner you have them on your Farm, the sooner you can begin to collect harvests from them.  With access to this list, you can see which Fruits are used in the greatest number of Recipes and which only are associated with one or two Dishes.  As previously indicated, this is not foolproof... for example, the next 'Weekly Activity' at the time of writing this for higher level farmers requires Rhubarb, a Collectable that is associated with only a couple of Recipes.  Nonetheless, it is a good idea to collect the premium Trees and 'Collectables' that are associated with the greatest number of Dishes first.

USING THIS LIST FOR SALES FROM BARN
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

One of the most useful aspects of this list is the ability to see whether or not any item is an ingredient that is used to make ANOTHER item.  Whenever you need cash, the best way to make your choice of items to sell is by ascertaining whether or not they are needed as ingredients in other Recipes.  If an item is not used as an ingredient, the only reason not to sell it is if you wish to keep a small stock of every item for potential use in filling either an Order on the Daily Order Board or Helicopter Orders.

Items that are ingredients should not be sold if you possibly can avoid doing so.  Remember always that every item made in the Kitchen requires Power.  If a task requires a Dish with ingredients that themselves are made in the Kitchen, you may find yourself using extraordinary amounts of Power unless you have stockpiled those ingredients.

COLLECTABLES
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

There basically are three different types of Collectables.  The first is the most common and consists of an item that, when placed on the farm, can be harvested after a specific number of hours and usually will yield a random number of products.  This is a permanent Collectable and first appears as the Reward for a Collections Mission.  Once the Mission expires, it usually will appear in the Market as a premium item.  In other words, the price will be in RC rather than Coins.

The second type of Collectable is a 'temporary' Collectable that, when placed on the farm, will last only for 3 days usually.  Like the permanent Collectables, it will yield a random number of products after a specific interval of time but when the three day period ends, it will disappear or 'expire'.  These temporary Collectables have a Coin price in the Collectable section of the regular Market.  The temporary Collectables yield Spice, Soy Sauce and Yeast.  It is a good idea to buy them periodically as they are used in many dishes.

The third type of Collectable actually is a Decoration.  It usually was the Reward for a time-restricted Mission and is permanent.  it will not appear in the regular market although you may be able to find it randomly in the Blue Mystrons Shop.  This type includes the beautiful Ice Dolphin and Water Fountain and whimsical Santas' Legs and Chocolate Dragon.

USING THE KITCHEN
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

NOTE:  The Kitchen now has a search option, which makes the page numbers obsolete.  I will list the Recipes but will not make a huge business out of changing page numbers constantly.

The Kitchen has become increasingly important in Family Farm Seaside.  Players of FarmVille 2 may notice surprising similarities between the Seaside Kitchen and the one in FV2 including the need to have 'Power' in order to cook.  A newer option is the Cooking Stand which is discussed in a later section of this post.

Every action in the Kitchen requires 1 Power and the Player begins with a total of 30 Power.  When any Power is used, it will be replenished over the course of time.  In other words, restoration of Power is nothing more than a waiting game and in fact, it does not take that long to restore 1 Power to the Player's stock.

Now that the Cleaning option has been added to the game, Players can find 1 Power in Cleaning Gift Bags on a regular basis.  This can be somewhat helpful when extra power is needed to complete a Quest.  I am an inveterate pack rat, but it really is useful to save the Powers found in Gift Bags in the Gift Box until a Quest requires cooking that uses more than the maximum 30 Power.  Use the extra Powers that you have collected to complete the Quest.

A new source of Power is the active Volcano on the Island that yields 4 to 6 Power every few hours.

The ingredients required to complete any Recipe in the Kitchen include Crops, Animal Products, Fruits/Products from Trees, Products made in Machines and Seafood caught when fishing from the Pier. In some cases, an additional Aid such as a Spoon, Fork or Pan is required to make a specific Dish.   Such requirements are stated clearly with the cost of purchasing the Aid in question.

Note that there are new Quest Sequences that require a Kitchen but are not time-restricted.  The first of these is the sequence entitled 'Felicia's Secret'.  The second follows the first and is entitled 'Begin to Cook'.

Now, players can 'favourite' Recipes by tapping on the little heart in the picture of any Recipe in the Kitchen Menu.  This will move the Recipe to a 'shortcut' position allowing players to access it instantly, with any other 'favourite' Recipes.  Staple dishes such as Batter, Cake Flour and Soft Dough are good choices for favourites as you will find that you need them frequently.

The order of Recipes in the Kitchen follows a peculiar logic that is known only to the developers but you will find that new ingredients (for example, the fruit harvested from a new tree) usually will be listed together.   Formerly, time-restricted Quests had time-restricted Recipes connected to them.  Now, it appears that the new Recipes that are introduced with a time-restricted Quest are available permanently.  This is far better for Players really as many of the Ingredients used for these special Recipes have no other use in the game.

Recipes tend to be organised into Sequences of three.  Often, the thrid and final Recipe in the Sequence will include one or both of the first two Recipes in that same Sequence as Ingredients.  I therefore have kept this format by dividing the Sequences with little xxxxxxxx.  Where any Ingredient is a Crop,  Harvest from a Tree, Animal Product or Machine Product, I have included that information as well.

The introduction of the Kitchen to Family Farm Seaside has revolutionised the game to some extent.  In the past, there were quite a few Items that had no further use apart from their value when sold.  Now, many of those items are Ingredients in Kitchen Recipes.  In many cases, these Ingredients are required in builk, especially when the Cooked Dish is incorporated into a Quest.

In one of the recent time-limited Quests, the Player was required to make 10 Summer Toast.  That does not sound like a large quantity but when one counts all the materials used, the total can be slightly daunting.

Each Summer Toast is made from 4 Cheese Salads and 2 Pecan Bread.  Each Cheese Salad requires 5 Honey and 2 Milk Cheese, and each Pecan Bread requires one Pecan and one Cornbread.  Cornbread requires Cornmeal, Egg and Milk.  Cornmeal requires 2 Corn.  For each Summer Toast, therefore, the ingredients are: 20 Honey, 8 Milk Cheese, 2 Pecan, 4 Corn, 2 Eggs and 2 Milk.  To make 10 Summer Toasts, one will need: 200 Honey, 80 Milk Cheese, 20 Pecans, 40 Corn, 20 Eggs and 20 Milk, if my Maths is correct.

Players will find that use of the Kitchen is a great source of income, but it always is best to make the third and final Recipe in each sequence as that is the one that will result in the greatest profit.  Furthermore, wqith the advent of more Orders on the Daily Order Board, Helicopter Orders and increase in Weekly Activities, it often is not a good idea to sell Cooked Dishes until prompted to use them in one of the above.

When no Quests require Recipes, Players should make the Basics, such as Condensed Milk, Soft Dough, Cake Flour and Batter, then store them for use in the future.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Kitchen Strategies
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

With the advent of the Kitchen, both the original Family Farm and Family Farm Seaside require different strategies if the player wishes to complete all Quests and earn the maximum amount of profit.  Where formerly items created in Machines or even raw ingredients had no use apart from being sold, they now often are ingredients in Kitchen Recipes.  It therefore is best usually to save ALL potential ingredients until you can use them in a Kitchen Recipe.  Moreover, it is best to sell only the third and final Recipe item in any sequence as that is the one that generates the highest profit and best XP value.

For example, there are a number of Fruit Juices that are required ingredients in the Kitchen.  Make them when you have free space on your Farm for a Juice Machine and then stash them until you can use them in a Kitchen Recipe.  Among the Juices thar are used in the Kitchen are Grape Juice and Mango Juice.  Jams are another common ingredient in the Kitchen.  Make as many Apple Jams and Cherry Jams as you can for use in the Kitchen.

Obviously, the 'basics' or 'staples' remain the same in a Kitchen in Family FArm Seaside as in real life.  Always make certain that you have a plentiful supply of Eggs, Milk and all the grains, from Wheat to Rye to Oat and Rice.

As previously indicated, with a limit of 30 Power, it is a good idea to make the basic Kitchen Recipes regularly, such as Batter, Cake Flour and Condensed Milk, and stash them for use in the more advanced Recipes.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Cooking as a Source of Income
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Players NEVER should invest real money in the purchase of Coins.  Coins can be EARNED in gameplay.  When real money is invested in the game, only RC should be purchased as it is difficult to earn RC.  There are an increasing number of options in Family Farm Seaside that can be obtained ONLY with RC.

It is important to have long-term goals when choosing the items to sell for Coins.  Items that cannot be used in Machines or in the Kitchen are the ones that can be sold at any point in time, unless they are required to 'buy' the next Farm Expansion.  If, however, the Item is an Ingredient in a Kitchen Recipe or one that can be used in a Machine, it should not be sold as a raw ingredient, unless a specific Quest or Mission instructs the player to do so.

A note of caution here:  In many Quest sequences, the player will be asked to plant and harvest a specific number of Crops or to produce a specific product total in a Machine.  Often, the very next Quest in the sequence will require the player to SELL those Items.  If you sell them BEFORE you reach that step in the Quest sequence, you will be forced to grow or make them all again.

Generally speaking, a product or Cooked Dish will be worth far more than the Raw Ingredients or Items used to create it.  The Player therefore is advised to make Products or Cooked Dishes whenever possible when income in Coins is needed.

A Recipe I like very much is the Peach Cobbler as it has a very high value.  Peach Cobbler sells for 3406 Coins.  You will need to be at a Level where you can grow Sugar Beet as the first step in the Recipe is to make Caramel Sauce using Sugar Beet in a Sugar Machine, combined with Maple Sugar processed as well in the Sugar Machine.

Peche au Caramel is the second step in the process.  It uses two Caramel Sauce and 1 Peach.    To make the final Cooked Dish, you will need two Peche au Caramel and two Soft Dough.  Soft Dough is made with one Cake Flour and one Batter.  Cake Flour is made with one Oat Flour and one Rye Flour.  Batter is made with two Wheat Flours and one Egg.

The value of the ingredients are as follows:

Peach: 38 Coins
Maple Syrup: 17 Coins
Maple Sugar: 29 Coins
Sugar Beet: 372 Coins
Caramel: 390 Coins
Rye Flour: 87 Coins
Oat Flour: 56 Coins
Wheat Flour: 62 Coins
Egg: 88 Coins

As you can see, some of these items are more valuable than others, but all of them combined do not equal any sum approaching 3406 Coins.

FISHING CATCHES AND PRODUCTS
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The Kitchen Recipe List now includes a great number of Seafood Dishes and you will find that these are required more and more for Quest tasks as well as 'Weekly Activities'.   These ingredients sometimes are required unprocessed but often require the use of the Seafood House where many of the Items caught while fishing from the pier can be processed.  Note that fishing and seafood processing always are random affairs to some extent.  When fishing, the type of bait will dictate the list of items that can be caught.  In the Seafood House, often more than one item can be obtained from a seafood ingredient, but some are less probable results than others.  The new seafood Recipes use both the most common items produced and the least probable.  See my Fishing Page for details.  Some of the Items you can make in the Seafood House are as follows:

The original raw items with the possible processed products include:

Wakame:  Makes 2 Dried Wakame

Seaweed: Makes 1 Brined Seaweed with a low probability of obtaining 1 Algae Clay

Octopus: Makes 3 Octopus Meat with a low probability of obtaining 1 Squid Ink

Jellyfish: Makes 3 Salted Jellyfish

Mud Crab: Makes 1 Steamed Mud Crab with a low probability of obtaining a Crab Stick as well.

Opossum Shrimp:  Makes 1 Steamed Opossum Shrimp with a low probability of obtaining 1 Sack of 200 Bait as well

Starfish:  Makes 1 Dried Starfish with a low probability of obtaining 3 Starfish Spawn as well

Blue Swimmer Crab: Makes 1 Steamed Blue Swimmer Crab with a low probability of obtaining 2 Crab Sticks and 1 Crab Roe as well

Crayfish: Makes 1 Shrimp Meat with a low probability of obtaining 3 Shrimp Ball as well

Coral; Makes Coral Powder x 8 with a low probability of obtaining one Coral Twig and one Coral Slice

Gulfweed: Makes 3 Algae Powder with a low probability of obtaining 1 bag of 25 Organic Fertiliser and 1 bag of 6 Super Fertiliser.

Sea Lettuce: Makes Cooked Sea Lettuce

Red Frog Crab: Makes Cooked Red Frog Crab with a small probability of obtaining 1 Crab Roe as well

Janthinan Sea Snail:  Makes 2 Conch Shells

Felicia's Cooking Stand
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

An important aspect of the game now is Felicia's Cooking Stand.  This is a LARGE building that can be found and purchased in the Buildings section of the Market for 500 Coins.  Be warned: once placed, it can neither be sold nor stored.  This is true of all the Craft Buildings in Seaside and really, however much one may deprecate the amount of space these buildings occupy, there really is no way to avoid them if one wishes to participate in all the Quests and Missions.

The Cooking Stand is associated with a sort of Bingo-type game.  It requires the cooperation of Neighbours in order to work, although your dishes will be consumed by generic customers generated by the game if you do not have sufficient participation from your neighbours.  The game is divided into 'Rounds'.  In Round 1, the Farmer can set out a total of 6 each of 4 different Recipes in the first instance in the form of Cheese Salad, Light Muffin, Spicy Fish and Choocolate Pave.   If you have the Dishes in your Barn, you can set them out immediately.  If not, you must make them.

Neighbours can purchase these and each purchase will earn the Farmer one Red Mystron as well as Coins.  In the fourth and last round of any Contest, you will earn 600 Coins for each dish eaten.  The purchase of a Dish by a Neighbour is similar to that of Cleaning Decorations.  If there are any Dishes available when a Neighbour visits, a floating icon of a Roast Turkey will appear over the Cooking Stand.  Tap on it to purchase a Dish.  A running total of the number of Dishes purchased on any given day is included at the top of the screen on the right side.  You can purchase up to 10 Dishes from your Neighbours on any given day in the same way that you can clean a total of 300 Decorations on any given day.  That total is given to the left of the Cooking Stand total.

Note that one of the prizes for completing the Contest is a cleanable Decoration that yields a Blue Box when cleaned.  This is a good incentive to players, although the dishes required appear to be more and more labour-intensive.

What is random is the actual box that will be filled on the 'bingo' card.  Thus, one Farmer may obtain the coveted Decoration as early as the third round while another (usually me!) will be forced to fill every single box to complete the four squares that give the Decoration.

MYSTRONS
xxxxxxxxxxx

Red Mystrons now are used to purchase 'gadgets' for the Upgraders.  Although it is the Red Mystron Mystery Shop that sells the three Buddy Trees, these can be purchased for Coins.

Blue Mystrons are used to purchase an item that is required to build two of the three Buddy Trees as well as various items for Upgraders.  The most important use of Blue Mystrons, though, in my opinion, is to buy valuable Decorations from past Quests.  The price for these Decorations always is 300 Blue Mystrons.  It takes a long time to earn 300 Blue Mystrons, even though you now need not complete the entire Reward Path on the Daily Order Board to begin earning them.  You will earn 1 Blue Mystron for every Order you complete.

The Yellow Mystrons originally were used to purchase green hedge Decorations in the forms of letters of the English alphabet (if you play the game in English).  I expect versions of the game in other languages with different alphabets had different letters.   Now the Yellow Mystrons can be used to purchase random Decorations from past Quests and old Calendar Rewards.  Each Decoration costs 100 Yellow Mystrons.

Cooked Dishes, Crafting and the Island
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Near the end of December 2014, Family Farm Seaside issued a new update that included a second Farm in the form of an Island.  This Island must be unlocked by completing six separate Quests that constitute pieces in a puzzle.  When the puzzle is complete, the Island will be unlocked.

I have created a separate site for the Island:

Island Guide

One of the features of the Island is the Helicopter Pad and an Order Board where the Farmer can find a list of items needed to fill these Orders.  The system is described in detail in my Island Strategy Guide.  Suffice it to say here that many of the Items requested in these Orders are Cooked Dishes or Items crafted in the Beauty Shop on the original Seaside Farm.

BEAUTY SHOP RECIPES
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Here are the initial Recipes for the Beauty Shop with an explanation as to how to obtain each Ingredient.  Many of the Ingredients used in the Beauty Shop Recipes are items that are processed in the Seafood House from Items caught while fishing.  Some of these are very low probabilities which means that the raw Ingredient only produces the Item occasionally.  The Items used in Beauty Shop Recipes that are made in the Seafood House are as follows:

Conch (Janthinan Sea Snail)
Pearl (Scallop)
Sea Snail Shell (Nautica Sea Snail)
Coral Slice (Coral)
Polished Coral Twig (Coral)
Algae Powder (Gulfweed)
Algae Clay (Seaweed)

See my Fishing Page for more details.  Note, however, that many of the Items used in the Beauty Shop come from catches that were made with the cheapest Hook in the form of the Squid Hook.  These include Coral, Pearl, Gulfweed and Seaweed.  It is only the two Snails that are caught using better Hooks.    The Janthinan Sea Snail that produces a Conch requires a Bone Hook and the Nautica Sea Snail that produces the Sea Snail Shell requires the Treble Hook.

Bait Values
xxxxxxxxxx

I intend to incorporate this information in the Recipes Guide but for now, here is a list of items with their values as Bait:

Some one requested a post about the values of items in trade for Bait.  This is by no means exhaustive, but I will make it a work in progress.

Generally speaking, ideal bait consists of items that cannot be used in other ways.  In other words, basic dishes like Condensed Milk or Soft Dough, even though they have good values are too useful to waste that way.

Bait values usually depend on one of three things: the intrinsic value of a single item used to make the item traded, the method by which it is processed or the number of items used to make the item traded and their values.  For single ingredient items, therefore, Venison is good and Caramel is good.  For multiple items, Peach Cobbler may be the highest.  It is a labour-intensive recipe, however and the value reflects this.

Player favourites include Cooking Wine, Caramel and Venison.  These are easy and have excellent values.

The order in which items appear in the Bait Menu follows some peculiar logic of which I have no knowledge.  I suspect it is taken from another language because, in English it follows neither rhyme nor reason.  It is not in order of value, by product or by process.

Basically, you will find only the following categories of items in the Bait Menu:  Animal Products,  Machine Products and Kitchen Dishes.  All items are from the original Seaside Farm.  At present, no Island Items are included even if you have transported them to the Seaside Farm.  Nor are items processed in the Seafood House or Beauty Shop included.  As far as raw materials are concerned, neither Crops nor Tree Fruits, apart from the odd inclusion of Spooky Eye Fruit, can be found in the Menu.

Note that the items that appear in your Baits Menu will be whatever items you have in stock and will not include items from your Gift Box.  Make certain that you transfer all Bait Bags that you receive out of your Gift Box in order to be able to use them.  Ironically, the Bait Bags themselves are listed LAST in the Menu.

Generally speaking, raw ingredients are worth less than the same item when it has been processed, whether for sale purposes or for use as Bait.  A couple of examples will show this clearly.

Milk is worth only 3 Bait, but if you take 2 Milks and make them into Butter in the Kitchen, you have an item that can be traded for 12 Bait.  Not valuable either particularly but certainly more valuable than the sum total of the raw ingredients used to make it. Although a machine is used to make them, all Fruit Juices tend to be of low value when traded, but Jams are much higher.  It therefore makes sense to take the same Fruit with 1 Honey and make it into Jam instead of Juice.  Honey by itself is worth only 1 Bait.  With any Fruit, processed into Jam, it is worth a little more. If you take the same Fruit and add Sugar to process it in the Candy Machine, you will have an item that you can trade for a nice amount of Bait.  Orange Juice is worth 8, Orange Jam is worth 10, but Orange Candy is worth 77.  The Candy tends to have good value because of the value of Sugar.

All Candy types make good bait.  All Cakes tend to have decent values as Bait.

Seaside Item Values:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Items should be given in alphabetical order.  This is a work in progress, which means that there will be many gaps at this point.  Cost, Value and actual Profit will be included for each entry.  Note that actual Profit usually depends on the length of time that the Item takes to grow or mature as well as the Level of Experience at which it is unlocked.  Bear this in mind when you decide which Crop to plant in order to make maximum Profit!  Clover may give you a Profit of 2 Coins only, but you can plant it every half hour.  Furthermore, XP or Experience Points are gained when you engage in farming tasks.  XP is the element that allows you to advance to higher Levels, unlocking new Crops, Animals, Trees and other Items, including Ranch Expansions.

Animals:
xxxxxxx

Animals are listed, quite aptly in the Animals section in the Marketplace.  There are two sub-categories under the Animals tab in the form of the Animals themselves and a Pond section that sells squares of water to build the Pond that is a necessary start to ownership of any aquatic Animal.  The cost of the Animal, the food it needs and the value of the Product it gives will be included here.  The actual 'value' of the Animal if the Farmer sells it, will be extremely low in every case, only a fraction of the price paid to obtain it initially.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The Rule of Three
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It is important to remember the Rule of Three in connection with Animals as well as Machines.  Any Animal or Machine can produce a maximum of three Items at any given time.  Its capacity is limited to three.  This is critical when one is dealing with the food or ingredients required to create the Product.   In the case of Animals, a maximum of three portions of its food can be delivered.  In the case of Machines, a maximum of three of the ingredient or total set of ingredients needed to produce three Products can be delivered.

Another point of great importance:  If the Farmer does not collect the Products that the Animal or Machine has produced, any feed or ingredients delivered to the Animal/Machine will have nowhere to go and thus, the Animal or Machine will not produce ANYTHING.  You must collect the Products from the Animal or Machine before it can use any new food or ingredients.  It is all very well and good to 'refill' the Animal's food or the Machine's ingredients, but no action will occur unless the Collection area is cleared.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Aquatic Animals
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

As previously indicated, Aquatic Animals have their own peculiar rules.  If a Farmer wishes to keep Aquatic Animals, a Pond must be built first.  Even if the habitat or enclosure in which the Animal/Fowl is sold appears to contain Water, it cannot be placed on the Ranch unless a Pond that is greater than the size of the enclosure has been built.

Green Duck Pond:  4000 Coins

The Green Duck Pond requires an existing Pond of at least 4 x 4 squares.  When fed Oats, the Green Duck will produce a Duck Egg in 2 minutes.  Additional Ducks can be added to the Green Duck Pond to speed the process of egg production.  Duck Eggs are used to produce Mayonnaise.

  Duck Egg: 76 Coins

Green Duck: 1 RC

The Green Duck cannot be purchased if the Farmer does not have an existing Green Duck Pond on the land.  Remember that additional Animals never increase production but only speed it.

  Duck Egg: 76 Coins

Goose Pond: 5000 Coins

As with the Green Duck, the Farmer will need an existing Pond before the Goose Pond can be purchased.  The size required for the Goose Pond is larger than that required for the Green Duck as a 3 x 3 Square consisting of 9 squares of Water will be needed for the Goose Pond.   One can use a single large Pond for all Aquatic Animals as long as it is built to be large enough for all the Animals one wishes to keep.  The Ponds are very pretty and can be surrounded by Flowers either in the form of Crops or Decorations.  Lotus Flower actually is the food that the Geese eat, making it an ideal choice for a Pond border.

A Goose when fed Lotus Flower will produce a Goose Feather in 1 Minute, 30 seconds.

  Goose Feather: 49 Coins

Goose: 4 RC

As with the Green Ducks, additional Geese can be purchased only if the Farmer has an existing Goose Pond.  Additional animals do not increase actual production but simply speed the process.

  Goose Feather: 49 Coins

Black Ostrich: 4800 Coins

  Ostrich Feather: 45 Coins

Peacock: 5000 Coins

  Peacock Feather: 132 Coins

White Turkey: 6500 Coins

A White Turkey when fed Rice will produce Turkey Meat in 50 seconds.  Turkey Meat can be used in both the Burger Machine and Salami/Sausage Machine.

  Turkey Meat: 135 Coins

Beehives:
xxxxxxx

Note that as of Spetember 2013, there are a number of special Beehives that were given as Rewards for Quests.  They may have different names and be different in appearance, but for the most part, they they house regular garden-variety Bees who produce Honey from Clover.  One of these special Beehives is the Drum Beehive from the current time-limited Korean Wonder Quest sequence.

Beehive:  2000 Coins
When Clover is in the field, the Bees will pollinate it every 30s and make Honey.  Honey sells for 5 Coins but is used to make any type of Jam.

  Honey: 5 Coins

Starline Beehive:  15 RC

The Starline Beehive is nothing more than a faster hive, producing the same Honey from Clover that the ordinary Beehive will produce.  It is only 10 seconds faster, producing Honey in 20 seconds instead of 30 seconds, making it, in my humble view, a pointless investment.

  Honey: 5 Coins

Super Beehive: 35 RC

The Super Beehive is indeed a Super version of the ordinary Beehive, producing regular Honey from almost any Flower in 20 seconds.    All types of Roses, Carnation, Daisy, Lily and Tulip will attract the Bees in the Super Beehive.  Is it worth 35 RC?  That is a question only the individual Farmer can answer.  The Honey it produces is worth no more, no less than the Honey produced by the ordinary Beehive.

  Honey: 5 Coins

Provence Beehive:  25 RC

The Provence Beehive will produce Provence Honey from Lavender in 20 seconds.   Provence Honey is one of the required ingredients in any type of Perfume.

  Provence Honey: 6 Coins

Quest Reward Beehives:

There are many special Beehives that were given as Rewards for completing time-restricted Quests but all produce ordinary Honey when Bees pollinate Clover.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Butterfly Houses
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The Butterfly House originally was introduced as a Quest Reward.  Occasionally, special Butterfly Houses are given as Rewards for time-limited Quests but all of them produce ordinary Nectar.  A Butterfly House can be found in the Marketplace for the price of 3500 Coins.  It is unfinished when purchased.  When completed, it will produce Nectar that is valued at 5 Coins every 20 Seconds, provided always that you have the right Trees on your Farm for the Butterflies to pollinate.  Trees that have been pollinated turn Gold.  Some of the Trees that will attract the Butterflies are: Cherry,  Chocolate,  Dark Chocolate, White Chocolate, Lychees, Mango

There is one special Butterfly House that produces Nectar when a Cashew Tree is pollinated.  All Nectar whatever the Tree from which it is produced, is valued at 5 Coins.  Remember not to harvest the Trees with which the Butterflies can interact until they have turned Gold or you will receive no Nectar!

Cattle:
xxxxx

Buffalo: 2000 Coins

The Buffalo when fed Cucumbers will produce Buffalo Milk in 1 minute, 15 seconds.    In Seaside, Buffalo Milk can be made into Buffalo Cheese, but it is possible that more Machines will be added to the game, such as a Yoghurt Machine, that will use Buffalo Milk as well.

  Buffalo Milk: 49 Coins

Holstein Cow: 4500 Coins

The Holstein Cow eats Clover to produce Milk in 1 Minute.   If, when growing Clover, you leave it on the field until it is pollinated by Bees, you can have Honey as well as Milk from the same plot of Clover.  Milk is an ingredient in many different Products created by machine.

  Milk: 22 Coins

Limousin Cattle: 3200 Coins

Limousin Cattle are the producers of Beef in Seaside.  When fed Pasture, Limousin Cattle will produce one parcel of Beef in 1 minute, 15 seconds.  Evidently, these Cattle have an infinite capacity to donate Beef and will not die.  Beef can be used in the Burger Machine and the Salami Machine.

  Beef: 20 Coins

xxxxxxx
Chickens:
xxxxxxx

Chicken Coop: 900 Coins

The Chicken Coop is necessary if you wish to have Chickens.  Chickens when fed Corn will produce an Egg in 3 minutes.  Once you have a Chicken Coop, you can purchase additional Chickens but you cannot purchase a Chicken unless you have a Coop.  The maximum number of Chickens that can be placed in a Coop is three.

  Egg: 88 Coins

Chicken: 250 Coins

As previously indicated, a Chicken cannot be purchased unless you have a Coop that is not filled to capacity.  Note that you can request Chickens as Free Gifts.

  Egg: 88 Coins

N.B.  Adding Chickens to a Coop will not increase actual production but it will improve the speed at which Eggs are laid.

Angora Rabbit: 2200 Coins

An Angora Rabbit will produce Angora Hair in 1 Minute when fed Carrots.  It does not require a separate habitat or Coop but the disadvantage here is that each Angora Rabbit you purchase will require separate space on the Ranch.

  Wool: 62 Coins

N.B.  At present, I do not think there is a Weaver Machine in Seaside, but I expect one will be added in the near future.

White Alpaca: 32000 Coins

The White Alpaca is unlocked at Level 35.  In the original game, it must be fed Green Lettuce and will produce Alpaca Hair.  In Seaside, production takes 1 minute, 30 seconds.

  Alpaca Hair: 193 Coins

White Goat: 15 RC

The White Goat when fed Pasture will produce Goat Milk in 2 Minutes.  One can make Goat Cheese from Goat Milk.

Pig
xxxx

Pig Coop: 18 RC

A Pig Coop is necessary if one wishes to keep Pigs.  Unfortunately, an investment of RC is required.  When fed Sweet Potato, a Pig will produce Pork in 3 minutes.  As with other meat-producing Animals, there appears to be an infinite capacity to produce and the Pig never dies.

  Pork: 181 Coins

Pig: 4000 Coins

Additional Pigs can be purchased once the Farmer has an existing Pig Coop.  The additional Animals do not increase capacity but do increase the speed of production.

  Pork: 181 Coins

Deer
xxxxx

Deer Coop: 28000 Coins

  Unlocked at Level 31

The Deer Coop is required if one wishes to produce Venison.  When fed Bean, the Deer will produce Venison in 3 Minutes.

  Venison: 423 Coins

Deer: 12000 Coins

Additional Deer can be added to an existing Coop for 12000 Coins each.  As with any Coop, additional Animals increase speed of production rather than quantity.

  Venison: 423 Coins

Use Venison to make Venison Sausage in the Salami Machine.

Buffalo Milk: 49 Coins

A Buffalo costs 2000 Coins and when fed Cucumber, will produce a bottle of Buffalo Milk in 1 Minute, 15 Seconds.  The value of Buffalo Milk is 49 Coins.

Cow Milk: 22 Coins

A Holstein Cow is a Milk Cow and costs 4500 Coins.  When fed Clover, it will produce a bottle of Milk in one Minute.  Milk sells for 22 Coins.  Note that ordinary Honey is produced from pollinated Clover.  Make certain you have a Beehive and wait until the Clover has been pollinated before you harvest it.

Goat Milk:  25 Coins

A White Goat is one of the few Animals that requires Premium Cash.  It costs 15 RC to purchase a White Goat.  When fed Pasture, it will produce a bottle of Goat Milk in 2 Minutes.

Egg: 88 Coins

To obtain an Egg, you first must purchase a Chicken Coop for 900 Coins.  Individual Chickens cost 250 Coins and can be added to the Coop.  A Chicken when fed Corn will produce an Egg in 3 Minutes.

Duck Egg: 76 Coins

A Duck Egg is more complicated to obtain than an ordinary Chicken Egg.  You must purchase and place Pond Water for either 1500 Coins per square or 1 RC per square of shoreline.  You then must purchase a Green Duck Pond for 4000 Coins.  Individual Green Ducks then can be purchased for 1 RC each and then added to the Green Duck Pond.  When fed Oats, a Green Duck will produce a Duck Egg in 2 Minutes.

Various Types of Wool and Animal Hair
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

All varieties of Wool and Animal Hair now can be processed in the Toy Machine to make darling Toys.

Alpaca Hair:  193 Coins

A White Alpaca costs 32,000 Coins and will produce Alpaca Hair in 1 Minute, 30 seconds.

Angora:  94 Coins

An Angora Rabbit costs 2200 Coins and when fed Carrot, will produce Angora Wool in 1 Minute.

Horse Hair: 107 Coins

A Horse costs 50000 Coins and will produce Horse Hair in 1 Minute, 15 Seconds.

Reindeer Fur: 40 Coins

A Reindeer, originally a Quest Reward, now costs 6 RC in the Market and when fed Mistletoe will produce Reindeer Fur in 1 Minute.

Wool: 62 Coins

A Sheep costs 2600 Coins and when fed Wheat will produce Wool in 1 Minute, 30 Seconds.

xxxxxxx
Feathers:
xxxxxxx

Goose Feather:  49 Coins

One needs a Goose Pond in order to have a Goose and like any Aquatic Animal, Pond Water must be purchased and placed before one can buy the Goose Pond.  In the case of the Goose, a 3 x 3 configuration of Pond Water is required.

Peacock Feather: 132 Coins

A Peacock costs 5000 Coins, eats Rice and produces Peacock Feathers.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Various Types of Honey:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Honey: 5 Coins

Ordinary Honey can be produced either by an ordinary Beehive or a Super Beehive.  The ordinary Beehive costs 2000 Coins and when Clover is mature, will produce Honey in 30 Seconds.  The Starline Beehive costs 15 RC (Premium Cash) and produces Honey from Clover in 20 Seconds.  In other words, its only real virtue is speed.  The Super Beehive can be purchased for 35 RC.  The Bees will produce Honey in 20 Seconds from ANY Flower apart from Lavender.

Provence Honey: 6 Coins

Provence Honey requires a Provence Beehive that costs 25 RC.  The Bees will produce Provence Honey from mature Lavender in 20 Seconds.    I personally believe that this particular Beehive is worth the investment as it is needed for the Perfume Machine.

Nectar: 5 Coins

Nectar is produced from various Trees when pollinated by Butterflies.  An unfinished Butterfly House can be purchased for 3500 Coins.  When completed, it can produce Nectar in 20 seconds when specific Trees are pollinated by the Butterflies.  Trees that can be pollinated include Cherry, Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, White Chocolate, Lychee Mango and Maple Trees.  A special type of Butterfly House pollinates Cashew Trees.

Bread:
xxxxx

N.B.  Bread is made in a Baker, a machine that costs 1400 Coins and creates a loaf in 1 minute, 30 seconds.  As with any machine, you can load the ingredients for three finished products at once.

Black Bread: 220 Coins

  Ingredients:  Rye Flour, Milk, Egg

Corn Bread: 212 Coins

  Ingredients:  Cornmeal, Milk, Egg

Oat Bread: 182 Coins

  Ingredients;  Oat Flour, Milk, Egg

Wheat Bread: 193 Coins

  Ingredients:  Wheat Flour, Milk, Egg

xxxxx
Flour:
xxxxx

Flour is produced by the Mill you will find on your Ranch ab initio.  It is a single-ingredient machine and can make three different types of Flour.

Oat Flour: 56 Coins

Use Oat.  Cost of Oats is 39 Coins, harvested in 6 Hours.

Rye Flour:

Use Rye. Cost of Rye is 50 Coins, harvested in 14 Hours.

Wheat Flour: 62 Coins

Use Wheat.  Cost of Wheat is 43 Coins, harvested in 8 Hours.

Most recently, a new type of Flour has been added to the Dutch Mill.  Players with the Brick Mill are out of luck where this option is concerned.

Rice Flour: 136 Coins

Use Rice.  Cost of Rice is 95 Coins, harvested in 14 Hours.

N.B.  At the start of the game, when Coins are limited, Oat Bread is a wonderful product to make.  Keep your Chickens supplied with Corn and your Cow with Clover and grow Oats every six hours.   Clover ripens in half an hour and Corn takes only four hours to mature, so you can produce quite a few loaves of Oat Bread in a day with some diligence.

xxxxxxxx
Perfumes:
xxxxxxxx

Perfumes are created in the Perfume Machine that can be purchased for 500 Coins.  It takes only 45 Seconds to produce a bottle of Perfume, using Provence Honey and one of the following Flowers listed below.  Provence Honey is made when Bees from a Provence Hive pollinate Lavender.  The Lavender when poliinated changes colour but is not harvested.  When harvested, you can use the Lavender Flower either to make Lavender Perfume or a Lavender Bouquet.  In other words, there is really no cost factor where the Provence Honey is concerned.  Thus the sole cost to be considered in any type of Perfume is the cost of the Flower.  Subtract that from the value of the Perfume and you will have the Profit:

Blue Rose Perfume: 180 Coins

Blue Rose costs 115 Coins, takes 12 Hours to mature and is unlocked at Level 25.  It sells for 131 Coins.
  Profit: 65 Coins

Daisy Perfume: 70 Coins

Daisy costs 25 Coins and takes 6 Hours to mature.  It sells for 34 Coins.
  Profit: 50 Coins

Lavender Perfume: 76 Coins

Lavender is the first flower to be unlocked.  It costs 47 Coins and takes only 2 Hours to mature.  It sells for 51 Coins.   You can use one plot of Lavender to make Provence Honey and then harvest it to use it to create Lavender Perfume.
  Profit: 29 Coins

Lily Perfume: 332 Coins

Lily is unlocked at Level 46. It costs 270 Coins, takes 10 Hours to mature and sells for 284 Coins.
  Profit: 62 Coins

Red Rose Perfume: 290 Coins

Red Rose is unlocked at Level 22.  It coests 215 Coins, takes 15 Hours to mature and sells for 235 Coins.
  Profit: 75 Coins

Tulip Perfume: 183 Coins

Tulips are unlocked at Level 37.  A Tulip costs 105 Coins, takes 22 Hours to mature and sells for 126 Coins.
  Profit: 78 Coins

Cheeses:

Cheeses are produced in a Cheese Maker.  You can produce three types of Cheese using this basic Maker.  A 'Fast Cheese Maker' can be purchased for Premium Cash in the Market.  With the basic Maker, you can produce Cheese in 40 seconds.

Buffalo Milk Cheese: 55 Coins

Use Buffalo Milk.  A Buffalo costs 2000 Coins and when fed Cucumber, will produce a bottle of Buffalo Milk in 1 Minute, 15 Seconds.  The Buffalo Milk sells for 49 Coins.  As you can see, Buffalo Milk Cheese is more valuable.

Cheddar Cheese: 23 Coins

Use Cow Milk.  A Holstein Cow costs 4500 Coins and when fed Clover, will produce a bottle of Milk in 1 Minute.  Milk sells for 22 Coins.  The profit made from the production of Cheddar Cheese is minimal, making Buffalo Milk Cheese a better option for the most part.

Goat Cheese: 34 Coins

Use Goat Milk.  A White Goat must be purchased with Premium Cash.  It coests 15 RC and when fed Pasture, will produce Goat Milk in 2 Minutes.  Goat Milk sells for 25 Coins, making the production of Goat Cheese the most profitable of the three, if you are willing to invest real money in the venture!

xxxxx
Jams:
xxxxx

A Jam Machine costs 650 Coins and can produce any fruit Jam in 1 Minute, 30 Seconds.   Jam requires two ingredients in the form of ordinary Honey and one Fruit.  Some of the Fruits are harvested from Trees and others are Crops.  Where the Fruit is harvested from a Tree, the cost of the Tree has not been considered as it does not occur each time the product is made.  The cost of the Clover Crop from which Bees produce ordinary Honey has not been included in the equation either as, after the Honey has been made, the Crop can be harvested and used elsewhere.  Where Crops are concerned, therefore, Profit consists of the original Cost of the Crop subtracted from the value of the Jam.  Where Tree Fruits are concerned, the Profit consists of the value of the Jam without any Costs to subtract.

The Jams that can be made are as follows:

Apple Jam: 17 Coins

Apples are harvested from Apple Trees.  The cost of the Tree is 400 Coins and an Apple is produced every 2 hours.  An Apple sells for 7 Coins.

Blackberry Jam: 151 Coins

Blueberry Jam:  103 Coins

Cherry Jam: 49 Coins

Cherries are harvested from Cherry Trees.  The cost of the Tree is 600 Coins and one Cherry is produced every 12 Hours.  The value of a Cherry is 20 Coins.

Grape Jam: 80 Coins

Grape is a Crop that coests 58 Coins.  It takes 6 Hours to mature.  The value of a Grape is 66 Coins.  It is one of the most versatile Crops as it can be made into Juice, Wine or Jam even at low levels.

Orange Jam: 42 Coins

Oranges are havested from Orange Trees.  The cost of the Tree is 500 Coins and one Orange is produced every 8 Hours.  The value of an Orange is 20 Coins.

Pineapple Jam: 211 Coins

Pineapple is a Crop that is unlocked at Level 33.  It costs 200 Coins and matures in only 1 Hour.  The value of a Pineapple is 202 Coins.

Pitaya Jam: 133 Coins

Pitaya is  a Crop that costs 100 Coins and takes 8 Hours to mature.  The value of Pitaya is 110 Coins.

Raspberry Jam: 119 Coins

Strawberry Jam: 220 Coins

Watermelon Jam: 289 Coins

Watermelon is a Crop that is unlocked at Level 28.  The cost is 255 Coins and it takes 10 Hours to mature.  The value of a Watermelon is 267 Coins.

Juices
xxxxx
Juice Machine: 900 Coins

The Juice Machine costs 900 Coins but is unfinished.  You therefore need materials to complete it before you can use it.  A Juice Machine will make a glass of Juice in 1 Minute, 30 seconds. It is a single-ingredient Machine.  Juices made are:

Apple Juice: 11 Coins

An Apple is produced by an Apple Tree in 2 Hours and sells for 7 Coins.

Grape Juice: 77 Coins

Candy
xxxxxx

Candy Machine:
The Candy Machine when purchased for 5000 Coins is unfinished.  You will be required to spend RC for two of the materials as follows:  1 Spring for 4 RC and 1 Spin for 6 RC.  The other two Materials can be obtained from Neighbours as Free Gifts.  You will need a total of 12 Screws and 12 Gears.

To make any type of Candy, you will need two ingredients.  The first of these is Sugar, made by placing Cane in a Sugar Machine.    The Sugar Machine costs 9900 Coins but is a finished Machine when purchased, requiring no outlay of RC or requests to Neighbours for materials.   The Sugar Machine is a single ingredient Machine that makes three types of 'Sugars' including plain Sugar.   The value of Sugar is 138 Coins, giving a profit of 33 Coins from the original cost of the Cane used to make it.

The second ingredient in any Sweet made in the Candy Machine is a Fruit.  Of all the types of Candy that can be created, there are three made from Crops.   All others use Fruit from Trees.

It is difficult to determine the real Profit made when a Product uses a Fruit/Product from a Tree, as the cost of the Tree really cannot be part of the equation, as it is an investment that occurs only once.  If one were to be accurate, one would have to count the number of times that the Tree has been harvested.  Instead, I have chosen to disregard the original Cost of the Tree and to compute Profit based solely on the Cost of the Sugar that is the second ingredient in any Candy made with Fruit.  Where the Candy is made from a Crop, the cost of the Crop HAS been added to the equation.

The list here is alphabetical, unlike the order in the actual Machine.

The Candy that the Candy Machine can make is:

Apple Candy: 176 Coins

An Apple Tree costs 400 Coins and can be harvested every 2 Hours.  The value of an Apple is only 7 Coins.   The Profit made from Apple Candy is 71 Coins.

Banana Candy: 237 Coins

A Banana Tree costs 5 RC and can be harvested every 22 Hours.  The value of a Banana is 35 Coins.  The Profit made from Banana Candy is 132 Coins.

Blueberry Candy: 260 Coins

Blueberry is a Crop that costs 85 Coins and takes 3 Hours to mature.  It can be sold for 91 Coins, making a profit of 6 Coins.  The Profit from selling a piece of Blueberry Candy is 37 Coins.

Grape Candy: 241 Coins

Grape is a Crop that costs 58 Coins and takes 6 Hours to mature.  The value of a Grape is 66 Coins, giving a Profit of 8 Coins.  Grapes are one of the most versatile Crops in Seaside, as they can be made into Juice, Jam, Wine and Candy.  When made into Grape Candy, the Profit will be 45 Coins.

Lychee Candy: 210 Coins

A Lychee Tree costs 880 Coins and produces fruit every 12 Hours.  The value of the Lychee Fruit is 18 Coins.  When made into Candy, the Profit is 72 Coins.

Orange Candy: 229 Coins

Orange Trees cost 500 Coins and will produce an Orange in 8 Hours.   Orange Trees can be requested and sent as Free Gifts.   The value of an Orange is 20 Coins.  Like the Grape, the Orange is a very versatile Fruit as it can be made into Jam, Juice and Candy.  Orange Candy gives a Profit of 91 Coins.

Peach Candy: 251 Coins

Peach Trees cost 2200 Coins and take a full day to produce one Peach.    A Peach can be sold for 38 Coins.

Strawberry Candy: 378 Coins

Strawberry is a Fruit that is unlocked at Level and costs 185 Coins.  It takes 9 Hours to mature and sells for 199 Coins.  The Profit made when sold as a raw ingredient therefore is 14 Coins.  When combined with Sugar in the Candy Machine to make Strawberry Candy, the Profit is increased to 88 Coins.

Sugars
xxxxxx

Sugar Machine:  9900 Coins

As previously stated, the Sugar Machine is a finished machine, requiring neither RC nor materials from Neighbours.  It is a single-ingredient Machine that creates three different types of 'Sugar' as follows:

Sugar:  138 Coins
  Ingredient:  Cane

Cane costs 105 Coins and takes 12 hours to mature.  Cane has a value of 120 Coins, giving a Profit of 15 Coins.  When made into Sugar, the Profit increases to 33 Coins.

Maple Sugar: 29 Coins
  Ingredient:  Maple Syrup

A Maple Tree costs 1400 Coins and takes 9 Hours to mature.  Its product is Maple Syrup with a value of 17 Coins.  When made into Maple Sugar, its value increases by 12 Coins.

Caramel: 390 Coins
  Ingredient:  Sugar Beet

Sugar Beet is a Crop that is unlocked at Level 41.  It costs 360 Coins and takes 8 Hours to mature.   Sugar Beet has a value of 369 Coins, giving a Profit of 9 Coins.  When made into Caramel, the Profit increases to 30 Coins.

Popcorn Machine
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The Popcorn Machine originally was a Reward for a Quest.  It now can be purchased in the Market for 10 RC.  It produces three different varieties of Popcorn as follows:

Sugar Popcorn: 272 Coins
   Ingredients are Corn and Sugar.
Corn costs 73 Coins and takes 4 Hours to mature.  Sugar is made in the Sugar Machine with Cane costing 105 Coins, taking 12 Hours to mature.   Your profit for Sugar Popcorn is 94 Coins.

Chocolate Popcorn: 202 Coins
  Ingredients are: Corn and Chocolate
Corn costs 73 Coins and takes 4 Hours to mature.  Chocolate is harvested from a Chocolate Tree and takes 12 Hours to mature.  After the initial cost of 6 RC for the Tree, there is no further cost.  Chocolate Popcorn therefore has the highest profit of all the varieties of Popcorn and does not require the additional Machine to produce an ingredient.  Your profit for Chocolate Popcorn is 129 Coins.

Caramel Popcorn: 520 Coins
  Ingredients are: Corn and Caramel

Corn costs 73 Coins and takes 4 Hours to mature.  Caramel is made in the Sugar Machine with Sugar Beets that cost 360 Coins and take 8 Hours to mature.  Caramel has a value of 390 Coins.   Your profit for Caramel Popcorn is 87 Coins.

The profit margin for Chocolate Popcorn is the greatest of the three, but both Cane and Chocolate require 12 Hours to produce.  Sugar Beets mature in only 8 Hours.  You therefore will make the most money from Caramel Popcorn ultimately.

Bouquets
xxxxxxxx

(Screenshot of Flowering Packing Machine with three different Flower Bouquets: Red Rose, Blue Rose and Daisy)

Flower Packing Machine: 12000 Coins
The Flower Packing Machine is a single ingredient Machine that is unlocked at Level 27.   Many of the Flowers that can be processed in the Flower Packing Machine can be used to make Perfume as well.  I therefore have given the information about the values and Profit margin for both Items in the description of each Bouquet type.   While the Flower Packing Machine is a single ingredient Machine, the Perfume Machine requires Provence Honey as well as the Flower ingredient that defines it. Note, however, that there is no cost involved in the creation of Provence Honey per se, once the Beehive is placed.  It is pollination by the Bees that produces the Provence Honey, leaving the ripe Lavender intact in the ground.  The actual Lavender Flower then can be harvested and used as a separate ingredient/item.

The following floral Bouquets can be made:

Lavender Bouquet: 70 Coins

Lavender costs 47 Coins and takes 2 Hours to mature.  It sells for 51 Coins, giving a Profit of 4 Coins.  When made into a Lavender Bouquet, it gives a Profit of 23 Coins.

Lavender is one of the Crops that can be pollinated to make a type of Honey before it is harvested.  If you have the Provence Beehive, Lavender will make Provence Honey.  Provence Honey is a required ingredient in any Perfume and Lavender can be made into Perfume.  Lavender Perfume sells for 76 Coins, making it more valuable than a Lavender Bouquet.  You must make certain that you have allowed the Lavender to be pollinated to make the necessary Provence Honey if you wish to make Lavender Perfume.

White Rose Bouquet: 81 Coins

White Rose is unlocked at Level 42.  It costs 60 Coins and takes 4 Hours to mature.  It has a value of 66 Coins.  The Profit for the Bouquet is 21 Coins.  The White Rose, like the Pink Rose, cannot be used to make Perfume.

Daisy Bouquet: 52 Coins

Daisy costs 25 Coins, takes 6 Hours to mature and has a value of 34 Coins.  The Profit therefore is 18 Coins when made into a Bouquet.  Daisy Perfume has a value of 70 Coins

Blue Rose Bouquet: 145 Coins

Blue Rose costs 115 Coins, takes 12 Hours to mature and has a value of 131 Coins.  The Profit for Blue Rose Perfume is 30 Coins.  Blue Rose Perfume has a value of 180 Coins which makes the Profit 65 Coins.

Red Rose Bouquet: 82 Coins

Red Rose is a flower that can be used to make Perfume as well as a Bouquet.  The Crop  now costs costs only 40 Coins and takes 4 Hours to mature.  Red Rose sells for 46 Coins.  The Profit for Red Rose Bouquet is 42 Coins.  Red Rose Perfume has a value of `122 Coins.  Remember, however, that Perfume requires two ingredients, one of which is Provence Honey.  Profit from Red Rose Perfume is 82 Coins.

The Values of Red Rose as well as Items made with it have changed recently.   Formerly the Value for Red Rose Bouquet was 251 Coins and the Crop cost 215 Coins, taking 15 Hours to mature.  Red Rose Perfume once had a value of 290 Coins.  The change in the length of time needed to grow a Red Rose to 4 Hours is probably what diminished its value as a Crop, although the actual Profit for Red Rose Perfume and Red Rose Bouquet appears to have increased now.

Tulip Bouquet: 158 Coins

Tulip is unlocked at Level 37, costs 105 Coins, takes 22 Hours to mature and has a value of 126 Coins.  The Profit for Tulip Bouquet is 53 Coins.  Tulip Perfume has a value of 183 Coins, making the Profit 78 Coins.

Pink Rose Bouquet: 218 Coins

Pink Rose is unlocked at Level 44, costs 180 Coins, takes 8 Hours to grow and has a value of 191 Coins.  The Profit is 38 Coins.   The Pink Rose like the White Rose cannot be made into Perfume.

Lily Bouquet:  319 Coins

Lily is unlocked at Level 46, costs 270 Coins, takes 10 Hours to mature and has a value of 284 Coins.  Made into a Bouquet, the Profit is 49 Coins.  Lily Perfume has a value of 332 Coins with a Profit of 62 Coins.

Sunflower Bouquet: 369 Coins

Sunflower is unlocked at Level 50,  costs 300 Coins, takes 20 Hours to mature and has a value of 323 Coins.  Made into a Sunflower Bouquet, the Profit will be 69 Coins.  The Sunflower is the only Flower, apart from the White and Pink Roses, that cannot be made into Perfume.

Many of the Flowers that can be made into Bouquets will not be unlocked when you reach Level 27 to unlock the Flower Packing Machine.  The Flowers that can be used at that Level are Lavender, Dasy, Blue Rose and Red Rose.  The process delivers a Bouquet in 1 Minute, 10 Seconds.

Nectar
xxxxx

Nectar: 5 Coins

Nectar is a fairly new Item, and is produced by Butterflies when they pollinate specific Trees.  In this sense, it is similar to Honey.  In order to produce Nectar, you need a Butterfly House.  The Butterfly House was introduced in a Quest a few months ago but can be found in the Marketplace now in the 'Animals' section.

Butterfly House: 3500 Coins

The Butterfly House when purchased is unfinished and requires a number of materials.  When completed, Butterflies automatically will be housed within it and will pollinate the Chocolate Tree, White Chocolate Tree, Mango Tree and the Lychee Tree, producing Nectar in 20 Seconds.  As you can see, Nectar is no more valuable than Honey but it is used in Recipes in the Kitchen.

xxxx
Toys
xxxx

The Teddy Bear Machine was introduced in a Quest Sequence.  When completed, the player could make two different types of Teddy Bears.  Red Teddy Bears were produced from  Wool and Blue Teddy Bears were produced from Angora Hair.  Later, as in the original Family Farm, the scope of the Machine was extended greatly and it became the Toy Machine.  It produces the following Toys in 55 seconds:

Red Teddy Bear: 74 Coins
  Wool: 62 Coins
  Profit: 12 Coins

Blue Teddy Bear: 105 Coins
  Angora Hair: 94 Coins
  Profit: 11 Coins

Toy Alpaca: 230 Coins
   Alpaca Hair: 193 Coins
  Profit: 37 Coins

Toy Horse: 128 Coins
  Horse Hair: 107 Coins
  Profit: 21 Coins

Toy Reindeer: 48 Coins
  Reindeer Fur: 40 Coins
  Profit: 8 Coins

The Toy Machine is one of my favourites.  Not only are the Toys it produces absolutely adorable, but it is a quick way to make a profit from Animal Products.   Of all the Toys, it is the Alpaca Toy that is the most profitable.

Perhaps the Developers of Family Farm Seaside will extend the ability of the Toy Machine to make new Toys from Feathers as it has done in the original Family Farm.  One could make Goose Toys and Peacock Toys then.

Kim Chi Machine
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Kim Chi Machine: 650 Coins

The newest Machine to be introduced is the Kim Chi Machine.  Kim Chi is the Korean term for spicy Pickles.  The Kim Chi Machine was introduced in the Korean Wonder Quests and produces three different kinds of pickles from Cabbage, Carrots and Cucumbers.

When purchased, it is unfinished.  One material must be purchased for RC, but the remainder can be requested from Neighbours.  When completed, it will produce Kim Chi in 1 Minute.  There are two ingredients in Kim Chi.  The second Ingredient, which never varies, is White Vinegar.  You will need a White Vinegar Stand or WHite Vinegar Barrel to produce White Finegar.

The White Vinegar Barrel is a temporary Maker found in the Decorations Menu and costs 300 Coins.  It produces a random number of portions of White Vinegar every 2 Hours and it will vanish after three days.

The White Vinegar Stand, on the other hand, is a permanent Machine.  It costs 5 RC although it originally was a Reward for completing the Korean Masks Collection Quest.   It was a Calendar Log In Reward for April 2014 as well.   If you did not obtain one as a Reward, you will have to pay 5 RC if you wish to have a permanent method of producing White Vinegar.   White Vinegar sells for 5 Coins.

White Vinegar is produced every 4 Hours in the Stand and every 2 Hours in the Barrel.  You can have both on your Farm.

Cabbage Kim Chi: 70 Coins
  Cabbage:
  Sells for 55 Coins
  Seeds cost 49 Coins
Profit for Cabbage is 6 Coins.  Profit for Cabbage Kim Chi is 21 Coins if you do not factor the White Vinegar.

  Seeds cost 42 Coins
Profit for Cucumber is 3 Coins.  Profit for Cucumber Kim Chi is 18 Coins if you do not factor the White Vinegar.

Carrot Kim Chi: 100 Coins

  Seeds cost 75 Coins
Profit for Carrot is 9 Coins.  Profit for Carrot Kim Chi is 25 Coins if you do not factor the White Vinegar.

Green Bean Kim Chi: 109 Coins
Green Bean: Sells for 86 Coins
  Seeds cost 80 Coins
Profit for Green Bean is 6 Coins.  Profit for Green Bean Kimchi is 29 Coins if you do not factor the White Vinegar.

Collectables
xxxxxxxxxx

A number of 'temporary' Machines exist that allow a Player to collect Items used for the most part in Cooking.  Added to this are three permanent 'Collectable' Items that allow a Player to collect Wasabi, White Vinegar and Salt respectively.  Salt is used in the Smoke House.  Collected Items are worth only 5 Coins and therefore should not be sold.  Their use is in the Kitchen, the Smoke House and the Beauty Shop.

From time to time, a time-restricted Collectable will appear in the Market in this category.  This is an Item that will be available for purchase for a limited time as opposed to an Item that, once purchased and placed, will LAST only for a limited time, usually three days.

Access the Collectable List in the Market to find the following Items that should be available at any point in time:

Soy Sauce Barrel: 300 Coins
The Soy Sauce Barrel when purchased and placed will last for three days and then will vanish.  During that period, you can collect Soy Sauce from it every few hours.

Spice Rack: 100 Coins
The Spice Rack when purchased and placed on your farm will last for three days and during that period will produce Spice every few hours.  At the end of three days, it will vanish,

Wasabi Pond: 5 RC
The Wasabi Pond originally was a Reward for completing a time-restricted Quest.  It now can be purchased in the Market for 5 RC.  It produces Wasabi every few hours and is a permanent fixture.

White Vinegar Stand: 5 RC
The White Vinegar Stand is a permanent fixture and will produce WHite Vinegar forever every few hours.

Salt Pond: 1400 Coins
The Salt Pond is a permanent fixutre and will produce Salt every few hours forever.

Buildings:
xxxxxxxx

Warehouse: 15000 Coins

The Warehouse may be the only truly essential 'Building' in Family Farm Seaside, as it allows the Player to store Animals, Makers/Machines, other Buildings and Decorations.  The cost of the Warehouse is 15000 Coins but it is unfinished when purchased.  Rather than requiring materials to complete, it requires three labourers or employees.  You can ask your Neighbours to act in these positions or pay 5 RC to fill each of the three positions.

Farm Expansions:

Farm Expansions usually have three requirements.  In some cases, a specific building project, such as the construction of a Warehouse, Well or other Building may be one of the three Requirements.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Random Items:
xxxxxxxxxxxxx

This list is random because I do not have the Machines that are necessary to produce the Items yet and/or because the Items can be sent as Free Gifts.

Blueberry Pie: 178 Coins

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Other Machines and their Uses:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

A Machine that no longer is available is the Brick Mill:
Brick Mill:  5000 Coins
The Brick Mill when purchased was unfinished.  Two of the Items required RC to purchase: 1 Sail for 4 RC and 1 Grinding Stone for 10 RC.  The other two Materials could be obtained as Free Gifts from Neighbours.  Of these, you would need a total of 5 Bricks and 5 Shingle Tiles.  If you wished to complete the Mill instantly, you can opt to pay 24 RC to do so.

When the Brick Mill was completed, it would grind the following originally:

Cornmeal: 88 Coins
  Ingredient: Corn

Wheat Flour: 62 Coins
  Ingredient: Wheat

Rye Flour: 87 Coins
  Ingredient: Rye

Oat Flour: 56 Coins
  Ingredient: Oat

As you can see, it originally ground the same types of Flour as the Dutch  Mill with the addition of Cornmeal.   At this point in time, however, the ability to grind Cornmeal has been removed.  The only difference now for players who own and use a Brick Mill is the speed at which it grinds.  The original Dutch Mill take 42 seconds to make Flour while the Brick Mill will produce Flour in 25 seconds.

When the Kitchen was introduced, Cornmeal was added to the list of Recipes and the ability to make Cornmeal in the Brick Mill was removed.

If you intend to perform the Quests, you will need to build a Kitchen in order to grind Cornmeal both for a specific Quest and for an Expansion requirement.  The Expansion requirement for the 22 x 22 Expansion requires 120 Loaves of Corn Bread unless you wish to pay 20 RC instead to skip this requirement.

The Kitchen
xxxxxxxxxx

The Kitchen is a very large building. For playes who do not wish to spend RC in order to expand their Farms, it may be best to buy and build a Warehouse first as, with a Warehouse, the various Animals and Machines that take space on the Farm can be stored temporarily to allow other Animals and Machines to be placed in their stead.  Even with a number of farm Expansions, I still find that I never have sufficient space for all the Animals and Machines I would like to use.

When a Player can sustain the Kitchen in terms of having sufficient space for it, he/she will find that it is a very useful building.  Furthermore, although you can play the game successfully without it to some extent, you will not be able to perform many of the Quests if you cannot cook.

I have created a separate page on this site for the Kitchen and all Kitchen Recipes.  Here is the link:

Kitchen Recipes

The entire strategy of the game changed with the advent of the Kitchen.  Products as well as Raw Ingredients that formerly could be sold but not used to create any other Item now became Ingredients in Kitchen Recipes.  Kitchen Recipes tend to have higher values than Items made in Machines.  Furthermore, they can be worth more XP when prepared than any Item grown, harvested or produced in a Maker/Machine.

I will try to give the cost and profit for each of the regular Kitchen Recipes here as time allows me to do the work.  I will not include the time-limited Recipes that are available only for a brief time.

Sakura Tea: 30 Coins

      Sakura: 16 Coins
      Honey x 2: Total of 10 Coins
      Value of Ingredients: 26 Coins
       Profit: 4 Coins
