A new 11 day Quest has been released in tandem with a Collection Mission. The Reward for completing the Collection Mission is a new Premium Tree in the form of the Guelder Rose Tree. You will need a Soda Machine not only for the Collection Mission but for.a task in the traditional Quest sequence.

Note to New or Low Level Farmers:

Try to complete the Collection Mission even if you cannot complete the traditional Quest. You should be able to access the traditional Quest from the Lighthouse when it expires, but the Collection Mission no longer will be available. The Reward for any Collection Mission like this will appear in the Market instead with an RC cost attached to it. Premium Trees tend to be worth more than Collectables, so when the Reward is a Tree like this one, try to complete the Collection Mission.
This one is difficult potentially because it requires a fairly new premium Machine in the form of the Soda Machine. If a Machine appears in a Quest, it probably will appear again in the future. Do not use RC to skip the task. Much better to buy the Soda Machine.
Stove House Recipes have been appearing in every timed Quest recently. The developers tend to use the same ones repeatedly. I have noticed four or five are used again and again. The Hot Maple Ice Cream is one that has been used before. I suggest therefore that you buy it rather than skipping the task.

Note that you must have a Soda Machine to complete this Collection Mission. This is a fairly new premium Machine that costs 16 RC. I suspect, however, you will need it in future Missions as well as this one.
Remember that you have almost a fortnight to complete both the Collection Mission and traditional Quest. If, however, you wish to complete them as quickly as possible, set your Monkey Boost to reduce OP cost when using Batch Production. Even with the Boost, speeding the production of the Soda Machine is VERY costly. I was shocked that a machine that requires only a single ingredient would demand a large amount of OP.

You will not need your Pets to dig Chests, but you will need to be able to use the Treble Hook (so do not cast a Net) and to tend flowers in the Botanical Garden 15 times. You will need the Soda Machine not only for the Collection Mission but for an actual task in the traditional Quest as well.
You will need a Collectable in the form of the Taro Garden. The Taro Garden costs 7 RC. Remember that you can use OP now to speed Harvests of Collectables whether they are placed on the farm or stored in the Collectable House.
You will need the Hot Maple Ice Cream Stove House Recipe to complete the traditional Quest sequence.
Hot Maple Ice Cream:
Ingredients: 1 Herb Cream Cheese, 2 Sugar, 2 Maple Syrup, 1 Blueberry, 6 Power
Place all ingredients and set timer for 18 seconds. Tap 'Finish' when Bronze Star activates.
