There are some new options in the game, including a new Pet Slot for the Pet House, a new Island Crop, the Muskmelon, a Durian Tree and another Island Machine in the form of the Popsicle Machine. All of these are covered below the current 7 Ghost Stories Quest. The Popsicle Machine has a 7000 Dev Point requirement.
A quick note for players who were at maximum Dev Points but now find they need to raise their Dev Points to 7000: Build the three new Landmark Decorations in the form of the three Eagle Decorations on the Island to raise your Dev Point LIMIT, then complete Helicopter Orders until you reach 7000 Dev Points. All the Landmark Decorations simply raise your Dev Point limit... you then need to perform Helicopter Orders to actually increase your own Dev Points.
Note that you now can find all the special fish caught with the Halloween Hook in the Fish Market so you can sell them for shells if you are working on a Jack O'Lantern Machine! If you achieve 9 Stars in the Fish Book for any of the Hallowe'en Fish, you unlock a new Avatar. This is true of the Botanic Garden Flowers as well. Obtaining 9 Stars unlocks a new Avatar.
Another Note: As the Activity Stage has a board game activity and not a quest sequence currently, there will be no trouble accessing it while you are performing the timed Quest. Furthermore, any tasks given by the scrolls will be active as well. On some farms, if an activity is demanded, you will see it listed as a Quest on the left side of the screen until it is completed and you may not be able to access the '7 Ghost Stories' Quest until you complete the task or abandon it.
The old 'Quiz Contest' and 'A Howling Good Time' Quests from 2016 have been changed radically to created new Lighthouse Missions. Note that the original special Rewards are not included in the new forms but have been replaced by other Rewards. These Quests now require prodigious amounts of Crops, although the cost of skipping tasks is far lower than in the timed Quests. Like all Lighthouse Quests, each 'Part' is time-limited but there is no pressure to begin a new Part once you have completed the previous one. Kaye Webb, our valued administrator at Family Farm Seaside Freyashawk, logged both of these Lighthouse Quests and you will find them at the very end of this post.
