Triathlon Quest and Toy Parachutes Collection Mission

A new 11 day Quest has been released in tandem with a Collection Mission.  The reward for the Collection Mission is another 'Collectable' in the form of an Oregano Pot.  The Reward for completing the first half of the Triathlon Quest sequence is a Fancy Tea Table for Darryl's House.  It is worth 5 House Points.

All tasks, Crop List, Batch Production List, Premium Items List and Collection Set details as well as strategy tips are included below.

HM. Freyashawk and Farm Beauty Contest
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Before I begin, I wish to thank all of the wonderful Farmers who voted for HM. Freyashawk in the last Farm Beauty Contest.  Without your help, I would have been unable to rank in the top ten list of Farmers worldwide.  I know I am not the 'best' Farmer in the game but I do hope that my work on this guide is helpful always, and your Votes in the Farm Beauty Contest do inspire me to continue.  I need to organise some of my older posts to update them and consolidate information but you should be able to find information about every aspect of this game on this site.  My heartfelt gratitude again for your confidence in me that is represented by your Votes!  I do not allow any advertising on my site, and obviously there is no financial gain in this.  I do it to try to make the game more enjoyable for farmers.  In the course of the past five years, I have made so many amazing friends because of this game and that is a reward beyond price.

Note from Freyashawk

Any one is welcome to post a link to this post or my site in his/her Facebook Group or elsewhere.  Please, please, however, give me credit for my work.  I make this site available to EVERY ONE even though I have a Facebook Group for Seaside.  I do not force any one to join my group to obtain details about Quests or other game information.  Any one with game questions is welcome to contact me on Facebook at familyfarmseaside.blogspot.com as well with a message.  I am more than happy to assist any one.

Collection Mission:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

70 Red Toy Parachutes from Red Roses
50 Green from White Wine
30 Yellow from Turkey Sausage
10 Blue from Juniper Bush

Reward: Oregano Pot (Collectable)

Strategy Note from Freyashawk:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

If you are a fairly low level player or fairly new to the game, always perform the Collection Mission even if you cannot complete the traditional Quest sequence.  The item given as a Reward, whether a 'Collectable', Tree or Stove House Recipe will be available in the Market at some point AFTER the Quest expires but you will have to pay RC to obtain it usually.  (You may be able to find a Tree or Collectable randomly in a Market section for TC or Green Mystrons but that is not guaranteed.)  In this particular Quest sequence, the Oregano Pot needs to be placed in Triathlon 7.  It is suggested therefore that you start the Batch Production for the White Wine and Turkey Sausage when you first open the Quest and while you plant Red Roses and harvest them, perform the initial Quest sequences as well if you have enough space on your farm.

Most of the recent timed Quests will be added to the Missions you can perform from the Lighthouse once the timed period expires.  When accessed there, however, they will NOT include the Collection Mission that originally was linked to that Quest.  That is one reason why you always should perform the Collection Mission if you can while it is active.  You will not have another opportunity.

As far as Lighthouse Missions are concerned, the timed Quests will be divided into four parts.  If you do not complete the Quest when it originally was released, you will be given credit for every 'quarter' you completed.  In other words, Parts 1-4 is a quarter.  Parts 4-8 is the second quarter and so on.  You should be able to complete the Quest from the Lighthouse, however and obtain the Rewards that were offered originally, but this is always possible only with RECENT Quests.  Where some of the older Quests are concerned, the situation may be different. In particular, there are four old Quests that have changed to give Rewards in the form of Bedding Rolls and such rather than the original Decorations that were linked to them.

WARNING:  One of the tasks requires fishing with the Dolphin Hook so do not cast a Net if you have the Fishery/Fishing College until you have performed this task in the traditional Quest sequence.  You will need to dig Chests as well at one point in the Quest so try to save some Chests until this task is completed.

This is only important if you are a player who is driven to complete the timed Quests in a single day.  Otherwise, you will have plenty of time to do these tasks.

You will need the Autumn Beef Roast Stove House Recipe for the traditional Quest sequence.  Instructions on how to prepare it are given in the Quest sequence below.  It is very simple.

Finally, I recommend that farmers set the Monkey Boost to decrease the amount of OP required for Batch Production.  This is useful even if you do not rush through the tasks.  You do have over 11 days to complete the Quest sequence but OP can be expensive and there are many tasks in the traditional Quest sequence that require products from Animals and Machines both on Seaside and on the Island.

Using Upgraders
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Veteran farmers will not need this information but a new farmer may find it useful.  Upgraders originally were an option that was pursued primarily by high level advanced farmers as many of the 'Gadgets' require Blue Mystrons to purchase and often new farmers need those Blue Mystrons to purchase cleanable Decorations for their farms.  Now, however, the special products that can be made only with upgraded Upgraders are required for MANY options, including Farm Expansions.  The earlier you can begin to upgrade your Upgraders, therefore, the better.

One of the requirements for upgrading ANY Upgrader is to use it to produce a specific number of items.  Furthermore, at every level of upgrade, production speed is increased by 10%.  In these timed Quests and Collection Missions, many of the tasks require production of an Animal Product or Machine Product that can be performed with an Upgrader.  To do so will allow you to reach the total needed for the next upgrade faster and, depending on your Upgrader's Level, possibly increase the speed of production significantly.

Use of an Upgrader can be particularly beneficial where the Collection Missions are concerned.   I have found that the Collection of 70 special items for a Collection Mission requires production of at least 130 of the product to which that item is linked.  For 50 special items, I usually set Batch Production of the Animal/Machine to which it is linked to make 90.  If you are trying to upgrade the Upgrader for that Machine and/or Animal, the target number that is required for the next upgrade will be closer after using the Upgrader to produce the items for the Collection Mission.

In case a new player is unaware of this basic fact, Batch Production CAN be used to produce the special items required for a Collection Mission.  Where Trees are concerned, you now can collect the special item required in any Collection Mission while the Tree remains in the Tree Nursery by simply using Watering Cans/Special Watering Cans there.
