As usual, there are a few premium items that are needed to complete these tasks. The premium Trees you will need are the Jackfruit Tree, the Chinese Toon Tree and the Avocado Tree. The Chinese Toon Tree is the Reward for the Collections Mission and the Jackefruit Tree is required to complete the Collections Mission unless you opt out of it by purchasing the Toon Tree in the Market instead. The Avocado Tree is required for one Recipe only.
Of all the premium Trees required here, it is the Jackfruit Tree that all farmers really need to have because Jackfruit not only is needed for mainland Kitchen Recipes but for production on the Island as well as you will see later in the quest sequence. If you do not have one, you can purchase it in the Market for 7 RC. The Avocado Tree is a little less useful generally but the cost of purchasing one is 10 RC, greater than the cost of skipping the task admittedly but the benefit is permanent.
Another premium item that is needed is Baking Soda, produced by a Collectable in the form of the Baking Soda Bag, costing 4 RC. It is not used in that many recipes but again, benefits are permanent, and the cost of purchasing it is less than the cost of skipping the task, albeit only by 2 RC. If you intend to purchase it, however, I suggest that you do so as early as possible as the collection of any items from a 'Collectable' cannot be speeded. You will need a total of 6 Baking Soda late in the quest sequence.
Note that the 'Candy' that is made during the course of this Quest is made in the Kitchen and NOT the Candy Machine.

There is a large body of classical Japanese art that shows ladies of the court playing this game. The Hagoita shuttlecocks in fact constitute an art form in themselves and can be found at stalls during one of the Festivals in Japan. I am a little surprised that this did not feature in this Quest sequence instead of generic Badminton. I do not know if the Chinese had a comparable tradition in the distant past but I never heard of it.
Japanese traditions of course are quite different from Chinese traditions and the Toon Tree here has been named the 'Chinese Toon Tree' which indicates an entirely different theme. China certainly dominates the world in modern Badminton but I personally love the ancient traditions and enjoy Quests in Seaside that give us an opportunity to explore them.
