Connection Error Quest and Hifi Headset Collection Mission

A new 11 day quest has been released in tandem with a Collection Mission.  The reward for the Collection Mission is a new premium tree.

Special tasks require Pets to dig Chests on Paths, use the Bone Hook to fish, and tending flowers in the Botanical Garden 15 times.  You will need the premium Macaron Machine to complete the Collection Mission. 

Note that the Wi-Fi Router is a wall decoration for Darryl's House.  There are limits to the number of each category of decoration that can be placed in Darryl's House.   The Menu is found in the little building above the Doll Structure.

I would like to thank every one who voted for HM. Freyashawk in the Farm Beauty Contest. I was ranked 8 globally at reset, but ended at No. 12.   I know it is not easy to send votes daily.  I always felt ranking in the top 10 somehow was a measure of the value of this site.  The Farm Beauty Contest really is two different contests occurring simultaneously.  The first is to reach 6000 votes for the player to earn all the rewards.   The decoration reward should be able to be achieved by any Farm with votes from the 4 game characters.  Farmers who have played for many years or who are willing to spend some cash on premium decorations should be able to obtain 6000 votes from the four characters without a single neighbour vote.  For example, Rose...tum Farm  and As...d Farm usually reach 6000 without any neighbour votes.  For farms like these, neighbour votes essentially are wasted.  Those farms actually ended with almost 7000 votes which gave no extra rewards and ranked them at 1100 globally, along with thousands of others.  I know it was intended as a gesture if support, but it would have been effective only with respect to HM. Freyashawk.   HM. Freyashawk, on the other hand, needed every possible neighbour vote to try to rank in the top ten, not because my Farm is superior to any one else, nor because I am a better neighbour, nor to boost my ego,  but for the sake of this site.  I created this site to give farmers free access to game information without any need to be part of Facebook or register with Google.  After my accounts were hacked,  I was reluctant to use my accounts at all, but I have tried at least to publish quest information.  I intend to complete Darryl's Adventure because Kaye took the trouble to log all the tasks.  I always have felt that any votes for HM. Freyashawk were on behalf of my wonderful administrators as well in our Freyashawk Faceboom groups.  The whole Beauty Contest system is clumsy and almost absurd.  It is a pity that the Contest does not allow votes for Communities, for example, or Groups of Farmers, and indeed that cheating seldom is addressed.  In any event, increasing blindness has made this unpaid job of posting extremely difficult,  so I am not certain I will be able to continue until I have surgical procedures done.

The game has enlarged itself to a point where it has become untenable for me to cover every aspect on a regular basis.  I would like d to create a post for new farmers at least because my original posts for them no longer reflect the vast expanse of this mobile game.

Incidentally, the Swim Ring Machine is being sold for a limited time in a special sake.  Its products often are demanded by the Dragon but players should be aware that those demands need not be met.  You can fill the orders that come easily and not search I'm desperation for some one to sell you a limited RC item.

Freyashawk if you still use this site.  Although my account was hacked on Google, I still make the effort to update the site, and I am the only person who taps in the information.  I thank my administrators in my group for assisting with information, but I have to update the site always myself.  So votes for HM. Freyashawk help me see if any one still uses the site! The developers claim they have stopped the cheaters, so actual votes might count this time.  Many thanks for your support.  I hope to complete the Darryl’s Adventure post this weekend.

Note that I just received a message from Support, letting me know that the issue with the ‘Log In’ to Facebook button in the game menu that was not completing the action for some farms now has been fixed.  After a week of not being able to load my farm through Facebook, I can confirm the button now works again.

Children’s Day in Japan is 5 May.  The wonderful Carp Banner or Koinoburi Crop was released in tandem with a Quest on a temporary basis a couple of years ago.  If you lived this unique crop that symbolises strength and courage as much as I, please contact to Support to reintroduce it in the Market as  permanent Crop.  Thanks.

Darryl’s Adventure 501- 700

I first would like to thank all of the farmers who voted for HM. Freyashawk in the last Farm Besuty Contest.  This game introducedcme to so many truly wonderful individuals over the past 8 years, and despite the increasing pressure from Seaside to perform tasks and activities continuously, I stayed with the game for the sake partly of the neighbours I have who in so many cases are people I have come to know.

I am glad this site still is useful.  It has become more arduous for me to update as my accounts were hacked last year, and my laptop so comprehensively compromised that it no longer is a tool that is useful.  I am over-stressed, and the job of updating is more difficult with other real life issues that demand my attention.  Our wonderful administrator Kaye in our Freyashawk Seaside Group logged these tasks and sent them, but I had to type them all by hand into this site post.  So it is a joint effort.  I am grateful to her for sending the details.  Wihout a laptop, it is more difficult to do it any other way.

Flying Bird Activity Tips

A little less stressful than the bee that has to pass butterflies as there are no obstacles in this mini-game.  Essentially, you need to make certain you have sufficient Stamina to collect the three lost babies.  First, increase initial Stamina by trading the item demanded in the top left of the screen. (The item changes randomly.)  When your bird begins to fly, position your finger at the far right of the game screen at the halfway point, neither up nor down.  Keep your finger at the end of the screen, and simply slide it very gently up or down when you see either Stamina (lightning bolt icon) or a baby bird.  Do not stress over the coins or the OP.  Focus on collecting stamina.  The only other threat is hitting the ground, so try not to move too close to the ground ever.  The key is to keep your finger control at the far right, and only gently brush upwards or allow the bird to drop a little to collect the much-needed Stamina.

Farm Beauty Contest Rewards

I have requested votes for HM. Freyashawk in the Farm Beauty Contest from players who find this site useful.  I always told myself I would stop updating the site if I failed to reach the top 10:in the contest because it would signify a general decline of interest in this site.  I have not been in the top 10:for a few months now.  To be honest, I understand that many players lost access to their farms due to a lack of coordination between FunPlus and Amazon.  Furthermore, the game requires so much data that a Kindle usually now requires a memory card if a player wishes to continue to use a Fire tablet for Seaside.  The requirement to link a farm to Facebook is yet another source of anxiety for many, as Facebook, like Google, failed to protect user details.  There no longer is a simple platform for ordinary farmers who want to feel safe when they work on a virtual farm.

I created this site and have updated it for eight years.  Although I have Facebook Groups for Seaside, I never made those a requirement for accessing game update information or tips.  This site has not made a penny for me because I refuse to allow Google to load advertisements onto it.  It is free access to any one anywhere.  That is what I want to see on any site, so that is what I provide.  To me, it is horrible to find a decent academic article riddled and bisected with wart removal adverts or other random advertising that has nothing to do with the subject of the article.  It is almost obscene.

There are two points I wish to make here: first, you yourself receive rewards daily simply for voting in the Farm Beauty Contest.  Players sometimes do not participate because they will not reach a total of 6000 votes.  That is foolish.  The most importsnt reward in the form of a new decoration for the new base is given with a total of 4000 votes.  If you are unwilling to spend RC to complete the base esrly, simply make certain you place it on your farm and take a new screenshot for the Contest afterwards, as the new base on your farm will add a maximum of 9 votes daily for theme if you have not reached maximum otherwise.

Above is a screenshot of the rewards in the chest today for simply having voted in the Farm Beauty Contest.  Whether you vote for HM. Freyashawk or not, you should register and vote to receive the daily rewards.  In particular, Power and OP always are useful.

Neighbour Visits

I was playing this game almost from the time it was released.  I played the original Family Farm for PC until the game became too unwieldy and demanding fo me to take any joy in it.  Seaside was a lovely, undemanding alternative... until it became more and more demanding as well.  Global Chat in game for the most part has become a nightmare, and it is the fault of the developers who have created situations where players feel they need neighbour visits and rare items to feed their dragons.  

Neighbour visits do not need to be reciprocal.  When you visit a neighbour, whether in person or by using a ticket, you receive rewards.  If the neighbour actually spends money on premium cleanable decorations, you will receive the best rewards when you visit and choose to clean either Island premium decorations or Seaside Blue Box decorations.  

If you are not receiving reciprocal visits, do not assume that your neighbour has no interest in your farm.  Kindle users are having a particularly difficult time at the moment.  Many players on all platforms are kicked out of their farms repeatedly.  No one needs the stress.  When I see messages of apology from farmers who beg to be forgiven because they had to attend the funeral of a loved one instead of visiting 300 neighbours, I wonder how this game is reshaping our hearts and souls.  Please do not force your expectations on others.  It is choking all the fun and enjoyment from the game.

Rare Dragon Orders

I fdo not wish to be harsh, but the entire Dragon activity is unduely stressful for all players.  Many of the rare items requested cannot be sold freely in the Stall.  There is a limit imposed upon them.  There is no time limit to grow the dragon.  If your dragon wants an item you cannot produce because it is the product of an Animal or machine that was a reward for a special activity, like the Swim Rings, perhaps just fill the orders you can, and wait for reset to refresh them.  I happily would fill my stall with the various swim rings if I could, but the game is at fault here for not allowing that.

Strategies for Quest:

Set the Monkey Boost to reduce OP cost for Batch Production.  You have 11 days to complete  the Quest, but if you wish to complete immediately, do not cast a Net, set the switch for pet digging to ‘Off’ and do not tend the Botanical Garden.

Warning: I am not really at a point in my life when I can perform these updates effortlessly any longer.  I domask my administrators to look at the published post for errors, and I am grateful for their willingness to do so, but no one really is super-thrilled any longer with the increased duties imposed by this game, and even when we do still embrace the game with some enthusiasm, Life has become complex and the thorns in the path must be cut back on a daily basis for many of us.

Rely first on the actual tasks to make certain I have included everything in the lists that I provide as a helpful aid.
