A new 11 day Quest with Collection Mission has started. The reward for the Collection Mission is a Brussel Sprout Stalk, a Collectable. The Brussel Sprout Stalk produces a random number of Brussel Sprouts every 4 hours. You cannot speed the process. Note that Sprouts (Brussel Sprouts in the States) are really a mainstay of British dining. I always felt it was a pity that they were not more popular in the States as they are one of my favourite vegetables. In any case, they are the product of the new Collectable in Seaside and there are three new Recipes in the Kitchen for them.

You will need a Plumeria Tree for the Collection Mission. The Crop to plant is Cane, the Animal is the Limousin Cattle and the Machine Product you will need is Buffalo Milk Cheese.
For low level players, I recommend that they complete the Collection Mission first. The Reward for this will appear in the Market once the Quest has expired but will have an RC price. If you can activate the traditional Quest from the Lighthouse later, you will need the Collectable and you will not be able to obtain it by performing any Collection Mission at that point in time.
MONKEY BOOST: Lately, I have been activating the Monkey Boost for Machine Products, to reduce the OP Cost when I perform these Missions. This particular Quest sequence has more tasks for Animal Products and Machine Products than Crops, so the Monkey Boost to reduce OP cost is very useful here. Note that there are two different Machine production Monkey Boosts. One makes production faster. The other reduces OP cost. My personal preference is for the one that reduces OP cost as I use OP twice, once to start the production and once to speed it to completion. (I do this in order to complete this guide faster... you need only use it once to start the production and then simply wait for the completion.)
LOW LEVEL PLAYERS: There was a time when players had more than enough 'basic' items including Milk, Cheddar Cheese and Honey. These are Free Gifts that can be requested and sent daily to Neighbours. Although high level players sometimes suggest other Gifts, even above Level 100 I have found that these Quests can be brutal in decimating basic items you have saved. For example, one of the tasks is to make 6 dishes of Almond Spread. Each dish requires 12 Cheddar Cheese and 2 Almonds. Power is another consideration for all players, but especially those who have not played long enough to store Power in any quantity. ALWAYS try to take advantage of the Daily Special Deals for Power and OP in your Market if you have sufficient coins. For 2500 Coins, you can purchase 5 Power. For 5000 Coins, you can purchase 100 OP. For another 8000 Coins, you can purchase an additional 5 Power. These purchases can make a difference even to high level players if you remember to take advantage of them every day.
Another tip for players is to make 'Basic' dishes in the Kitchen in advance for timed Quests like these. Dishes that always are useful include: Butter, Batter, Cake Flour, Soft Dough, Condensed Milk, Sour Cream and Honey Syrup. For this particular Quest, as an example, you need to make Dishes that require Butter as an ingredient. If you have Butter in your Barn, you can use your Power to make the task dish rather than expending it on this ingredient.
Currently there is a sale for premium Pets. The best Pet for Stamina as well as Bargaining Power is the Red Turtle. I have a personal weakness for any Cat but the Red Turtle can service both land and water guests and is a powerhouse.
