New Savannah in Wilderness Map and Thanksgiving Guests

Note on 14 November:  Felicia sent a message in game to the effect that the requirements for unlocking 2 Star and 3 Star Savannah were not correct and she returned up to 6 Bedding Rolls to players who had unlocked the areas using the original requirements.

The third area of the Wilderness Map now is available in the form of the Savannah.  Guests give Kangaroo Pet Cards.

The Kangaroo requires 300 Kangaroo Cards and begins with 700 Stamina but only 80 Bargaining/Sales.   It has four Skill Slots with a Chance for Motivation (Reduce Stamina by 2%), Advanced (Improve Selling ability by 8%), Friendliness (Increase Buyer Happiness by 1%) or Perseverance (Improve Selling ability by 3%).   If you compare this with the Hippo, you will see that both Stamina and Sales begin at a slightly higher level (as the Hippo starts with 600 Stamina and 75 Sales) but the advantage to the Hippo is the fact that he/she can go into the Water to take the orders of the Water Guests.  The Hippo has another advantage in his/her Advanced Skill which decreases bargaining cost by 50% but with decreased Happiness (if you actually care about the joy of these greedy guests.)

SAVANNAH GUEST GROUPS:  If you want a Kangaroo, your only option is to invite the Savannah Guest Groups.  Note, however, that neither 1 Star nor 2 Star Savannah Guest Groups give ANY Pink Paint.  If you simply are trying to unlock new Pet Slots, you are better served by inviting 2 Star Mootopia Guests than any other Group.  The 3 Star Savannah Group, as shown below in the Order Lists I logged, have rather brutal orders but is the best option really to obtain the Kangaroo Cards as well as Pink Paint.

Boutique Decorations

The other new Feature of the Update is the Boutique Decoration department in the Market where you can purchase Decorations for RC.  These are divided into three different categories:  Ornate, Fancy and Lovely.  What this means essentially is that we no longer are dependent upon the appearance of special offers in the Market to have access to premium Decorations from the past.  This eliminates the recent Kindle problem wherein the DIY tab did not appear for users.

Note that there are two different ways to access an option to purchase a specific Decoration.  One is through the actual Boutique Decoration Department in the Market menu.  The other is by finding the Decoration in the Gallery and tapping on the price.

Thanksgiving Guests

There now are 'temporary' Guests that give Maple Leaf materials for merging in the Factory.  The items you can create, apart from one the Thanksgiving Pet Hat, are from last year in the form of the Thanksgiving Arch and its stackable decorations.  They all are listed as theme items in the current contest and are quite charming if you do not have them from last year.  Note, however, that there is a limit to the number that can be stacked on the Arch.  Choose the ones you like best first and then go from there, as the others either have to be placed on the farm directly or kept in storage.

All players can merge 1 Thanksgiving Arch in the Factory, irrespective of whether or not you have one from the past.  In other words, you can own and place a total of 2 Thanksgiving Arches, but only one can be made in the Factory.

The Thanksgiving Pet Hat is one of those 'temporary' Pet items that, once you add it to the Pet House Apparel Room, will expire after 12 days.  Please write to Support to protest... this is the second time they have done this.

Note that, with temporary Guests, your Passports can be refreshed if you are willing to spend TC.  The cost for adding another Thanksgiving Passport is 150 TC.
