I am posting these Tips separately as no doubt there are countless Players, even beginners, who never would need to read any of them. They are tips, however, that would have helped me initially and indeed there are times when I actually FORGET to perform the actions that are necessary to move forward in Seaside.
Machine Limits: Machines are limited to three Products. Three of any Ingredient needed to produce the Product can be loaded into the Machine at any point in time and three Finished Goods can fit into the place for collection by the Farmer. If you do not collect the Products, however, you will not be able to make any new Products! Even if you load three more of every Ingredient that is needed to make the Product, no new Product will be made until you COLLECT all the Products that have been completed.
Product Ingredients: I forget this one constantly, especially where the Jam Machine is concerned. If you need more than one Ingredient for any Product, make certain that you load ALL the Ingredients into the Machine. I forget the Honey frequently although I load the Fruit and then the Machine sits silently and collects only dust...
Beehives: As with any Animal or Machine, only three of any Product can be made. Once the Bees have produced three Jars of Honey, you MUST collect them or the Bees will not fly out again from the Hive to pollinate any more Flowers!
The Pop-Up Menu for Moving Items: In Seaside, if you wish to move any Item, whether it is a Crop square, an Animal, a Tree, a Machine, a Building or a Decoration, a little Pop-Up Menu will appear that gives three options: Place, Rotate, Cancel. You must tap on the 'Place' option in order to complete the Move. If you do not do this, the Item will race back to its original position. Likewise, when you purchase any Item that allows multiple purchases and place it on your Farm, ANOTHER Item will be there behind it waiting for the unwary Farmer to tap the 'Place' icon. I bought two Pear Trees by mistake because I erroneously tapped on the 'Place' icon again, thinking it was the menu for the original Pear Tree I was trying to purchase. As Trees cannot be stored in a Warehouse, this sort of error is annoying in the extreme!
Misuse of OP: When you have filled a Machine with three of each and every ingredient required to produce its Product, a little Pop-Up Menu will appear that displays a bar graph and the amount of time required to complete the Product that is in the process of being made at that point in time. If your finger moves quickly, you may tap on that by mistake and 10 OP will be used to complete the Product. This is a terrible waste of valuable OP in my opinion as NO Machine takes THAT long to produce its product. It is difficult enough to find OP in Seaside and it is better used for the automation option during a Quest.
Another tip worth mentioning with respect to the Automation Option is the need to make certain that the Machine or Animal has ALL the ingredients for the Product it produces once the Automation is set in motion. There is a very common situation where the Production line will grind to a halt and the Farmer may not be aware of this immediately.
Either make certain that ALL the Animals or Machines that produce the ingredients for the Product are set to work automatically or make certain that sufficient ingredients for the total number of Products needed are available before you switch to Automation. Crops often are one of the required ingredients, so make certain that you have a sufficient total of any Crop needed in your Barn.
