Animal Hospital Update
(Above, screenshots of the various stages of rescue and feeding)
The Animal Hospital is located on a little island between the Island and Sea Resort. Find injured animals either beneath the Island Farm or between Island Farm and Sea Resort in the water and either bring them to the Animal Hospital or send them away. Give them items to feed and rescue them. Doing so will increase the Animal's Recovery level. When you release the Animal, you will receive Rewards.
(Screenshot of an Animal Hosptial with three of the four types of Animals. Since I created this post, they added an Arctic Fox, my personal favourite)
Note that a timed Quest and Collection Mission was linked to this new building, as some of the tasks introduce you to the rescue items that can be made now in the Workshop on the Island. Here is a link:
Animal Rescue Quest
When an Animal appears, it will be on a timer. I believe this timer is never longer than one hour. You can both feed and rescue. Once you have chosen both options, it will go to the first available chamber in your Animal Hospital. There, you instantly will have the option to feed it again. It then will be on another timer. This timer is for 4 hours.
N.B. If you choose to send the Animal to a Neighbour, THAT is on a timer as well unfortunately. It therefore is important, if it is an Animal that your Neighbour actively would like to have, that you coordinate times.
Note that, the number of times you perform the Rescue action in the Hospital will determine the Level of the Recovery and the Rewards you receive. You can release the Animal at Level 0, but it is better to continue to tend to it and increase its Recovery Level. The timer always appears to be four hours for the next action.
You can choose, once you have performed the two initial actions, instead of taking the Animal to your Hospital, to send it to a Neighbour. A Neighbour who sent a seal to me received 20 OP and some coins for doing so.
On my end, I received a message in my hospital message box to the effect that:
'C. has sent you a seal. Do you want to take it in? (Accept)
The Seal immediately required 4 Flatfish.
I believe the items requested are chosen randomly to some extent, but I have seen more requests for the fish caught with the Dolphin Hook than any other types. The actual 'Rescue Items' made in the Workshop are required so if you intend to participate in this, you may wish to stock up a little on those. Furthermore, there are specific items that are linked to specific Animals. For example, the only Animal who eats Meat items is the Arctic Fox who often will need Beef or Turkey Sausage.
Rewards when you release any Animal from the Hospital are based on the Recovery Level of that Animal. The Maximum recovery Level is Level 8. When you release any Animal, you can choose between 5 different Reward bags, representing all the different types of Mystrons in the game.
As your Animal recovers, increasing in size and health, its appearance may change. I am not certain what virtue there is in keeping a fully recovered maximum Level Animal in the Hospital. Rewards for release of Level 8 Animals have not varied much for me if I choose the same bag. I received bags containing 25 Blue Mystrons for the most part when I chose the Blue Bag. For the Green Bag, however, I received 341 Green Mystrons so I guess I need to log all results. I am not certain there is ANY advantage to keeping an Animal once it has achieved maximum Level 8, apart from sentimental reasons.
There is a ledger in your Animal Hospital that gives a record of all the Animals you have rescued. This does not include any of the Animals that you simply passed on to Neighbours but only those you have kept in your hospital.
You can open more chambers in your Animal Hospital to increase the number of potential patients, as follows:
3rd Chamber:
6 Milk Facial Masks
10 Spicy Steak Burgers
50 Goose Feathers
5000 Coins
4th Chamber
50 Peanut Sauce
50 Pork

5th Chamber:
80 Muskmelons
20000 Coins
20 Orange Juice
1 Ice Cart (5 RC)
6th Chamber:

Scene
xxxxx
As with the original Family Farm, you now can change the 'scene' of your farm. There is a new 'Scene' department in the Market. To change to a 'Valentine Scene' at present is the sole option and it is a cash purchase rather than RC for a permanent change. For a three day effect, it costs 10 RC.
Volcano Tech Community Upgrade
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You now can increase the Level of the Upgrade for the Volcano, Explorer' Tech.
To increase to Level 4: 150 Medals
Increase production by 4
To increase to Level 5: 180 Medals
Increase production by 5
Pilot
xxxx
We did not unlock this one initially as no one needed it, but every upgrade increases the number of orders that give double Dev Points:
To upgrade from Level 1 to Level 2: 125 Medals
Gives double Dev Points from Helicopter Orders two times per day
Rescue Animal Appearances
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
As Animals at your Hospital increase in Level, their weight will increase and their actual appearance may change.
Some of the items required for each type:
Seal:
6 Sea Urchins
Bear:
1 Mackerel
Fox:
3 Silk
5 Beef Salami
2 Hairtail
6 Cotton Cloth
Penguin:
12 Red Algae
As of the beginning of August, Mary logged the following useful information at my request:

Level 0: Fed 3 times
Level 1: Fed 5 times
Level 2: Fed 6 times
Level 3: Fed 9 times
Level 4: Fed 9 times
Level 5: Fed 11 times

Polar Bear:
Level 0: Fed 4 times
Level 1: Fed 4 times
Level 2: Fed 5 times

Level 3: Fed 3 times
Level 4: Fed 5 times
Level 5: Fed 6 times
Level 6: Fed 7 times
Level 7: Fed 8 times
Reached Level 8
Unfortunately, this does not appear to be a standard result. Evidently, according to player's log, the number of feedings required to reach the next level can vary even with the same species of Animal
Farmium Purchases
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You now can purchase Farmium from your Research Laboratory screen. Tap on the Plus Sign next to your Farmium total to obtain the option. It becomes increasingly expensive, much like purchases of new Order Board Orders.
Note that the option only occurs if your total current Farmium is less than 300.
Purchase 100 Farmium for 1000 Coins.
Purchase 100 Farmium for 100 TC
Purchase 100 Farmium for 3 RC
