A new untimed Quest sequence has appeared in Family Farm Seaside, entitled 'Recipe for Success'. I do not know if it is available at ALL Levels, but it certainly is available from Level 40 onward, as my second farm, at a far lower level than my first, is at Level 41 now and the Quest sequence appears there as well.
Untimed Quests do not expire and therefore the Farmer can take his/her time in completing them. This one is designed to force the player to fish and use the Beauty Shop. If you look at the price in RC for skipping any of the tasks that involve fishing, seafood items or Beauty Shop crafting, you will see that it is far higher than usual. The price for skipping the harvest of the Roses is lower than usual. Skipping a harvest usually is half the price of the total of the harvest. In this case, it ordinarily would cost 50 RC to skip the harvest of 100 Roses but here you see it is only 10 RC. It is where the fishing, seafood and Beauty Shop are concerned that the price is really a deterrent. To skip the task of preparing only 2 bowls of Bowled Fish with Pickled Cabbage, you would have to pay 12 RC.
You therefore should complete all tasks. If you lack the ingredients for a dish or craft item, it is better to pay 1 RC to buy it than to skip the task, especially where the item is a 'bonus' item that one cannot obtain always from the seafood item. Pearls and Sea Snail Shells are bonus items.
In terms of the fishing tasks, most require only that you actually FISH with a specific Hook. Remember that you always can use the Boost to obtain the precise item needed but it uses your fishing tries faster. Many players will have the items needed in their Barns. if not, however, use the Boost to obtain the item that you need to process in the Seafood House rather than using RC to skip the task. It is too expensive in this Quest sequence to skip tasks such as these.
I do not like fishing much in Seaside and unfortunately have not performed my daily fishing tasks... I was thrilled when the Coin Mystery Shop began to offer seafood items. Perhaps I am not alone in this as this quest sequence appears to be designed specifically to bring players back to the pier!
