Please note that there were small lacunae in this post when I first published it. It was a difficult morning, and I hesitated to publish it at all, bit I am going through it carefully now to correct any omissions.
So please refesh this post if you loaded it earlier! I apologise.
The Autumn Moon Festival is a very ancient one and this year falls on 17 September. The Chinese traditions are a little different from the Japanese, but mooncakes and lanyerns feature in both.
In both cultures, there is a folk belief that one can see not a man, but a rabbit in the moon.
There are a number of other legends surrounding the Moon Festival.
Essentially, however, it is an opportunity to appreciate or worship the Moon and to do so in the company of loved ones.
A new 11 day Quest and Collection Mission have bern released. Veteran players know that once the time period ends, the Quest will become available from the Lighthouse. The Collection Mission, however, will cease to be available. Originally, these Collection Missions did not require Machines that had to be purchased with RC. Howeever, it is a good ifea to purchase all of the 'RC' machines from the Market when you can as the cost of the Collection Mission Reward is not much less if you have to buy it, and these Machines are needed again and again.
N.B. People are stressing over this Code business that is associated with a video preview of a new farm to be released later. You do not need five farmers to use your code! You do not 'need' any of this really. There are small rewards if you go to the site daily but it does not unlock a new farm!
Watching the brief video, it looks as though this new farm will be sort of a cross between Treasure Islands and the Uncle Carlos Flashback. Just my own sense if it of course from a brief glimpse, but it looks as though Energy (lightning bolt icon) is required there.
