Guide essentially complete as of 14 December.
All of these Photo Studio Activities follow the same path.
The ultimate goal can be found by tapping on the large star in the top left of the screen. There are 25 Levels and two separate paths. The 'Free' path and rewards are available to all. The VIP Pass path requires a cash purchase but fives you a new Animal in the form of a Christmas Dragon at Level 20 and a Christmas Carriage Red Box decoration at Level 25. With the Free path, the final Reward is a Festive Dragon Blue Box decoration at Level 25.
The Christmas Dragon eats Lucky Stars to produce Chrustmas Gift Bags.
Fill the Orders that appear on the left. Merge the items on the map. The number of orders will increase ultimately from two to four as your level increases.
This Photo Studio has a Christmas craft theme.
The 'Bubbles' that appear with items inside them are on a timer. To burst the bubble to make them permanent, you can pay the gem value, use an Ad Skip Card or watch an advert. It can become costly if you yield to too many temptations to retrieve these items. Only use the options for the highest level item that allows this with the free options. I only use gems if I really want to save a high level item.
Note that this Activity has an option to restore Energy, but only when your own Energy goes below 100 or 150 depending on your specific cap. A timer will activate and Energy increases by two points every minute.
One small tip: the temporary generator in the form of the Knitted Mittens has a lifespan of 20 items. Randonly, it can become an Order. Make certain you do not fill that Order until you produce 19 items from it and the count shows that only one remains. I sometimes place a Knitted Mitten that has been reduced to 1 in my backpack in case such an Order appears.
Another tip is the Power Boost. I usually have that activated, but it will prevent you from generating a Level 1 item. Shut it off temporarily to produce Level 1 items from your generators to complete your chains.
There is a small reward for producing every new item in the Book.
Another situation that is both a benefit and a detriment is the Double Experience points timer. This only activates at higher levels BUT only when your Energy is low. Every Order you fill will be worth double the usual points until the timer expires. When you run out of Energy, a special cash offer will activate in an effort to induce you to use cash to invest before the timer expires. This does allow you to raise your Level quickly, however.
I have confirmed this now! The Double Experience Point Bonus will not activate unless your Energy is low, below your cap. Mine only activated at Level 23!
I do every activity first payibg through to write. Walkthrough like this and then a second time on my lower level farm to see how well one can do if one cannot spend a lot of cash on it. On my little farm, therefore, thd Double Experience Bonus first activated at Level 11 because I had no Energy reserves. I then thoughr of a very useful strategy to share here:
When your Energy goes below the cap and is almost entirely gone, do NOT fill the Orders on the Board. Instead, create all of the items needed to fill the Orders but wait for the Double Experience Bonus to activate and then fill them all for double point value.
Maximum benefit from the activity requires that you pay attention to the board or map and to the Orders constantly.
The map or board has locked squares. At each new Level, a couple of theae are unlocked. Some hold new generators. Others hold items that can be merged. There is an advantage to having clear spaces on the Board.
At Level 0, you have the Small Craft Box that creates Letter Writing items
At Level 4, you unlock the Small Knitting Basket that creates Knitwear
It also produces the Knitted Mitten that is a temporary Generator that produces Snowmen items.
At Level 5, a third Order is added.
At Level 6, you unlock the Christmas Stall that is generates Gingerbread items.
At Level 7, the Power Boost is unlocked. Tap the switch to produce a higher level of item whenever you use a generator. Energy cost is higher when the Power Boost is activated.
At Level 8, you unlock your first recipe generator
in the form of a Purple Christmas Stocking that requires:
Paper Bell + Gingerbread Xmas Tree = Christmas Tree
A fourth Order appears at Level 10.
At Level 10, you unlock the Medium Knitting Basket thst simply generates higher level Knitting items.
At Level 12, you unlock the Small Santa's Hut that generates Santa items of apparel.
At Level 14, you unlock the Christmas Shop that now generates Chocolate as well as Gingerbread.
At Level 16, you unlock a second recipe from the Green Christmas Stocking.
Snowman Base + Medium Hot Cocoa= Snowman Ice Cream
At Level 18, you unlock the Large Craft Box. No new items but generates higher levels
At Level 20, you unlock the Large Knitting Basket. No new items.
At Level 22, you unlock the Large Santa's Hut that generates both Santa and Reindeer items.
At Level 24, you unlock the third and last recioe in the form of the Pink Christmas Stocking.
Santa's Gifts + Magical Reindeer = Christmas Sleigh
