Latest Seaside Update

There is a new update which I feel was badly timed really, at least in terms of me covering it.  This post therefore will be a work in progress.

The main element in this update is the Fountain of Plenty.  It reminds me of the Workshop in the Island Activities where you need to make special items to use as materials to complete the next task.

Ironically, it is easiest for players who have no use for these items to make them.  High level players will find they cannot use many of the new items.

Foe example, the various Resort market buildings each have a new slot now where you can add an item made in thd Fountain.  These itwms are worth more than the ordinary ones and incemreasi f Resort Level will be quicker... unless you are at maximum level.

The most useful slot is the one at your Market stall where you now can sell items in that slot only to a specific buyer or buyers.

What I find annoying is that you are given a single slot only at the Fountain.  To add a second slot, you need: 

80 Minor Substatute apotions

80 Pink Rose Lamps

20000 Coins

To add a third slot:

80 Parrot Water Floats

40 Shrimp Balls

40000 Coins

To add a fourth slot:

2 Water of Plenty

50 Seawater Essence

40 Crab Sticks

60000 Coins

So that will take you forever and a day to make 80 Potions.

No time limit but you have to tap evety few minutes to keep the 'production line' moving.

There is another infuriating aspect to the Fountain.  It requires special Energy to produce and you have a limit of 75. Why???  Also some items require more than 1 Energy to produce.  As it stands, it is kind of a forever project!

I for one always wonder what my own time is worth. There are players who spend real money to obtain a benecit.  Others work like slaves to kerp tapping.  It is all a mattwr of personal choice but they are overloading this game now in my view.  It has become stressful rather than fun and extremely expensive if you want all the items offered.

One major aspect of this update deals with the Botanical Garden.  Two different aspects:

You now have a rarechance of cresting a new Grand flower  through crossbreeding two Mega flowers.   There also are three Magic Dust items that speed flower growth.

Remember you need two Mega Flowers and your chances are slim.  You are more likely to get a Level 1 Friendship Flower like a Cupcake Flower.  Remember those can be purchased now using Insect Coins.  So do not stress over the new flowers too much.

Nore tgat the same item you neex to add anothrr Fountain slot is needed to produce the Magic Dust.  If I were not writing this post to explain these new options, I would stop here and now.

Thete is an advantage for farmers who have not reached maximum Resort level in making special items in the new Fountain.

Cor example, if you have the Snack Shop in the Resort, making and selling a Flower Brooch will give you far mote Reaort Points than any irdinary item.  There is a new box with four slots ro accommodate these special items now.  In my Resort, the Flower Brooch is worth 1110 Resort Points with a 15% boost.  As my Resort is at maximum level, it is kind of pointless for me.

Note that many Seaside expansions require specific Resort levels, so the value of the new items should help some players.
