French Paradise Quest and Colourful Sun Umbrella Collection Mission
Initially, I was not going to post about this but for the sake of newer farmers, I will. This Mission follows the rules and patterns of the OLDEST Collection Missions in the first year of the game, and perhaps longer even, when we were given an item to build and there were various rewards inside the item to claim, as well as the ability to claim a final Decoration Reward. The item one builds is a decoration of sorts, but will not be cleanable and usually cannot be registered in the Gallery. There are many such collection items from the past that players can use on their farms but are no longer interactive once the Mission time expires. The time usually is five days.
Here you are given a Dophin Bubble Machine by Felicia. One then collects bubbles from Crops, Trees, Animals and Machines. Bubbles always are RANDOM. The rate of collection is not that fabulous and there really is no rhyme or reason to it even if you feel you do better with a specific item.
A couple of words of warning: First of all, you have a limited number of Requests that you can make to Neighbours in Game Chat per day. Second, there appears to be a time limit for collection of the items you receive from these Requests. It is annoying but it is best to stay on your farm as long as possible after making a request to be able to obtain the maximum number of items. Another problem is that your Requests will not appear in Chat for every Neighbour you have... not certain what determines WHO sees any request you make, but it is not all of your Neighbours. Some players are more fortunate than others in receiving responses.
The four regular rewards here are:
Orange Bubble Water
Total: 25
Price: 1 Bubble or 1 RC
Watering Can
Total: 10
Price: 10 Bubbles or 2 RC
Thunderstorm
Total: 5
Price: 50 Bubbles or 15 RC
Fortune Fish Statue
Total: 1
Price: 200 Bubbles or 15 RC
By obtaining one of each of these, you unlock the final Reward which costs: 400 Bubbles and is a Water Lily Pearls Tower that gives a Purple Box when cleaned.
When you tap on the Dophin Bubble Machine, you will see a bar at the bottom of the menu to 'Improve your Luck'.
There are five level upgrades.
To upgrade to Level 1:
20 Green Bubble Water
Ask Neighbours or pay 1 RC for each
2 Orange Bubble Water
Trade for 1 Bubble each or pay 1 RC for each
Until you reach the final upgrade to Level 5, the materials required simply will be Green Bubble Water and Orange Bubble Water. For example:
To upgrade to Level 4:
30 Green Bubble Water
8 Orange Bubble Water
To upgrade to Level 5:
10 Green Bubble Water
5 Orange Bubble Water
1 Purple Bubble Water (8 RC)
In other words, if you wish to attain the final upgrade that gives you DOUBLE the amount of Bubbles for any random collection, you must pay 8 RC.
Is it worth 'Improving Your Luck'? I believe it is only worth the effort if you intend to attain Level 5. In the past, these Collection items often changed appearance with each upgrade, becoming more attractive or detailed, but this one appears to stay the same from Level 0 to Level 5.
