Farm Gym Time-Restricted Quest and Dumbbells Collection Mission

(Completed Base with all three of the premium animals on it and the Ball Basket.  All three of the animals are animated and there is more than one very cute sequence that involves the Boxer and the Tennis Player.)

The new time-restricted Farm Gym Quest has been released in tandem with a Dumbbells Collections Mission.  The Collections Mission has a Stove House Recipe as its reward and you will need it to complete Part 8 of the Farm Gym traditional Quest.  Note that the first eight parts of the Quest give an additional Reward in the form of the last material for the Base, a Liner.

A number of premium items are needed for this Quest.  The Organic Asparagus Bush is a Collectable that costs 4 RC in the Market.  It was a Reward for another Collections Mission in the past.  Other premium items are Trees including the Adzuki Tree, the Sakura Tree and the Chinese Toon Tree.

As usual, the second half of the Quest sequence includes Island Tasks and this Quest requires two Island Trees in the form of the Tea Tree and the Bamboo Tree, both found under the Fruit Tree tab.  You will need both a Panda and the Flower Basket Machine as well as the Essential Oil Machine if you wish to complete all the Island Tasks in the second half of the Quest sequence.

Archery Statue Collections Mission

This is one of the old-style Collections Mission, not to be confused with the current Drink Umbrellas Collections Mission that is connected to the timed Mission.

Find the Archery Statue in the Special Tab in the Market for 500 Coins.  It will be active for 5 days when placed.  The expiration is detemined by the moment when you place it.  As with the Gymnast Statue, you can collect the special item, a Bow and Arrow,  from any Crop, Tree, Animal or Machine randomly.  When you upgrade your Statue to Level 5, you will receive 2 of the Bows and Arrows, instead of 1 randomly from any Crop, Tree, Animal or Machine.

You need to redeem 1 of each of the ordinary prizes to UNLOCK the final prize which is a Decoration that is included in the current Fam Beauty Contest.  Once unlocked, you then need to collect 350 Cupid's Bows to redeem that Decoration.

The ordinary prizes are:

Cupid's Bow: 1 Bow and Arrow
Organic Fertiliser: 2 Bows and Arrows for the first one, then the price increases (basically doubles)
Songkran Beehive: 250 Bows and Arrows for the first one, then an increase in price for each additional one
30 OP: 1 Bow and Arrow for the first one, then an increase in price for each additional one

To upgrade your Statue, use the Cupid's Bow items as well as a different type of Bow and Arrow that you can request from your Neighbours or pay 1 RC for each.  The final upgrade will require RC to complete.

Points worth Noting

Unlike the old Collections Mission, you evidently can keep the Archery Statue even if it is NOT fully upgraded.  In the old days, if you wished to store it, it had to be upgraded to Level 5 before expiration.  When it expires, you will not longer be able to redeem any items but it will be a sort of Decoration, albeit not a REAL one that can be registered or cleaned.

Another point:  You do not NEED to upgrade the Statue in order to claim any of the rewards.  You simply must redeem one of each of the four ordinary Rewards to be able to unlock the Punching Bag and then redeem THAT for 350 Bows and Arrows.  It will take longer obviously if you collect only one Bow and Arrow randomly from any Crop, Tree, Animal or Machine instead of two but it can be done.

Strategy for completion

Some players will collect the final Reward easily, especially if they play the game frequently.  Others may find it more difficult or may not enjoy the Collections Mission that much.  One easy strategy is to PURCHASE the Beehive using 18 RC instead of being forced to collect 250 Bows and Arrows to redeem it.  The other three ordinary prizes needed to unlock the final Reward only cost 1 Bow and Arrow.  You then can focus on collecting 350 Bows and Arrows to redeem the Punching Bag Decoration.

As an aside, please note that one now can obtain the second material for the new Farm Stadium Base from a Festival Market Package that you will receive when you obtain a specific number of sales from DIFFERENT farmers in your Flea Market. Some farmers are receiving 2 Nets from their Bag and others only 1.  Originally, the Flea Market required 12 different sales to 12 different farmers but the Festival Market Package appears to be operating on a more lenient set of rules.  I did not have to sell more than 8 bags to different farmers on the second day, but only received 1 bag on Harvest Moon FDC... and other farmers received only one bag as well on the second day.

Furthermore, originally, when the game reset, the count restarted but it appears that you continue to obtain credit for sales now even past the reset hour.  In any case, all we really need to know is that the second item for the Base, which is a Net, is found in the Festival Market Packages that you obtain after making a specific number of sales from your Flea Market.

Make certain that you register the KimChi Machine,  the Mini Ice Cream Cart and the Ice Cream Cart before the Quest expires, then go to the Lighthouse to claim the Reward for having the Collections Set.  You will obtain a Clam Friendship Flower, 88 Green Mystrons and 1 RC.  It is rather odd that the KimChi Machine was included in lieu of the Guava Tree.

Gymnast Statue Collections Mission

N.B.  There is a peculiar little glitch in the Market with respect to the Gymnast Statue.  If you have not purchased and placed the Stove House on your farm, you will be unable to find the Gymnast Statue n the Market.  You will see a Specials Tab below the Decorations tab but it will contain only the Happy Summer Smoothie Recipe.  You have to purchase and place the Stove House.  Immediately after, you will see that there now is a Stove Recipe tab and beneath that, a Special tab that contains the Gymnast Statue for 500 Coins.

Thursday, 11 August:  At this point, most players will have found that the statue has expired.  Unlike the Collections items in old missions of this type, you will be able to keep and store your Gymnast Statue at ANY level of upgrade, and even if you have not upgraded it at all.  It no longer will be active, however.  Any leftover Ribbons will have been converted automatically to OP at the time of expiration.

Veteran players will recall the old Collections Missions that featured a 'temporary' item that you placed on your farm and then upgraded to Level 5 in order to make it permanent. This Gymanst Statue is different in that respect.  Even if you do not upgrade it at all, it will be a permanent item once it expires and you will be able to store it in your Warehouse.   By tapping on the item, you could access the list of prizes that could be obtained through collecting the special item from Crops, Trees, Animals and Machines.  Each had a different price and there always was a final Reward.

The current Collections Mission that follows this old pattern allows you to collect Ribbons.  First, go to the Specials Tab at the bottom of your ordinary Market menu and purchase the Gymnast Statue for 500 Coins.  Place it on your farm and tap on it.

You will see a menu that shows the five prizes you can obtain by redeeming your Ribbions with a price for each and the number of each that you can redeem.  The final Reward is shown on the far right in the form of the Ball Basket Decoration.  You can redeem this final prize only if you have obtained one of each of the other four.  The price of redeeming the Ball Basket is 350 Ribbons.

At the start, the prices for the four ordinary prizes are:

Shining Star: 1 Ribbon each or 1 RC each
Blossom Beehive: 250 Ribbons or 18 RC
Thunderstorm: 10 Ribbons or 18 RC
Super Fertiliser (x6) 1 Ribbon or 1 RC

Note that, as you redeem individual prizes, the price in Ribbons will increase, with the exception of the Shining Star prizre which will remain at 1 Ribbon each.  In the case of the Super Fertiliser, for example, the price will double for the most part each time you redeem one.  The Blossom Beehive price will increase from 250 Ribbons to 270 Ribbons for the second one.

Once you have redeemed at least 1 Shining Star, 1 Thunderstorm, 1 Blossom Beehive and 1 Super Fertiliser (x6), you will be able to redeem the final prize in the form of the Ball Basket for 350 Ribbons.

As you will see, you can obtain different quantities of each of the ordinary prizes.  The Shining Star in this case is one of the items needed to upgrade your Gymnast Statue.  You access the upgrade Menu by tapping on the bar at the bottom that states: Improve your Luck.  For the first upgrade, you will need 15 Stadium Seats and 2 Shining Stars.  You can Request the Stadium Seats from your Neighbours or pay 1 RC for each.  You can pay 1 RC for the Shining Stars or redeem them from the Menu.

Each upgrade Level will have different requirements.  It is not necessary to upgrade the Gymnast Statue in order to obtain the final prize but higher levels will allow you to obtain more Ribbons with each harvest and upgrading to the final Level should transform the Statue into a permanent item rather than one that will vanish after five days.

Note that the final Reward is a Ball Basket Decoration that is listed as a Theme Decoration in the current Farm Beauty Contest

It is only at full upgrade at Level 5 that you will receive 2 Ribbons instead of 1 Ribbon when you harvest and it still will be a random result.

Level Upgrade prices are:

To upgrade to Level1:

15 Stadium Seats (1 RC or request)
2 Shining Stars (Use Ribbons or 1 RC each)

To upgrade to Level 2:

15 Stadium Seats (1 RC each or Request)
2 Shining Stars (Use Ribbons or 1 RC each)

To upgrade to Level 3:

25 Stadium Seats (1 RC each or Request)
8 Shining Stars (1 RC each or use Ribbons)

To upgrade to Level 4:

25 Stadium Seats (1 RC each or Request)
8 Shining Stars (1 RC each or use Ribbons)

To upgrade to Level 5:

30 Stadium Seats (1 RC each or Request)
5 Shining Stars (1 RC each or use Ribbons)
1 Big Screen (cost is 5 RC)

This is the final upgrade.  You now will receive 2 Ribbons instead of 1 whenever you harvest randomly.  Although the timer still will be displayed, in the past, these 'Collections Decorations' such as the Gymnast Statue can be stored and placed only if fully upgraded.

Remember that, at ANY Level of upgrade, the collection of Ribbons always is random.  I am not certain I ever have noticed much of a difference in their occurrence at ANY upgrade level.  It is the final Upgrade to Level 5 that simply allows you to collect DOUBLE when they randomly appear.

I personally have found that harvest of Trees produces more than the harvest of Crops.  It IS random, however.  Note that, as with the Farm Beauty Contest, special Missions with their own Collection Missions and so on, the Island does not factor into this.   It is only on the original Seaside Farm that you can obtain the Ribbons.
