Solving Loading Problems with Family Farm Seaside and Fun Plus Support

Since 14 March, I had ongoing problems when I tried to load Family Farm Seaside.  On 15 March, the game loaded briefly, allowing me to keep my consecutive log ins that had lasted for almost 300 days.  Shortly thereafter, however, the game failed to load and, until 21 March, never loaded again.

I am extremely grateful to the Support Team for Family Farm Seaside.  They stayed with my case, endured my desperate emails and responded and continued to offer suggestions until finally, my game loaded again.

I play Seaside on an IPad2 and I tried many different actions without any success.  It may be helpful, however, to list these in case they help other players.

If you ever have issues that cannot be solved through any of the following methods, Support will help you.

CLOSING ALL OTHER APPS

Hit the Home Button twice to display all open Apps, then slide your finger from bottom to top to 'wipe' each from the screen.  This action should close each open App one by one.  When all have been closed, power off the IPad and then turn it on again.  If you are fortunate, this will solve any issues with your game.

GAME CENTRE

Here is a series of steps for solving loading issues that was sent to me by the developers:

1.  Log out of the Game Centre
2.  Close all Apps on your device
3.  Shut down and then restart your device
4.  Log into the Game Centre
5  Open the game FROM the Game Centre

I do not have the ability to open the game FROM the Game Centre but I found out how to log in and out of the Game Centre after my game failed to load again.  Basically, it is a matter of going to the Game Centre icon in your Settings and not the icon that is on the Home Screen.  You should have the ability to log out and log in again by entering your password when it is requested.

There does appear to be an ongoing problem between the Game Centre and Family Farm Seaside.  When my game failed to load again, I found that I was unable to load the 'Games' screen in the Game Centre as well.  It simply hung there as though it were 'working' on something, but never loading either.

REINSTALLING THE GAME

You can delete the app for Family Farm Seaside and then reinstall it without losing any progress in the game.   When you go to your Home Screen, you should see all your Apps on the screen in the form of little square icons.  Find the one for Family Farm Seaside and hold down your finger until it begins to shake and a little 'x' is displayed in the corner.  You then should see a prompt asking if you wish to delete the App.  Do so, then go to the App Store and find it there to reinstall it.  Before you reinstall the App,  power off the IPad and then turn it back on.    Reinstalling an App can solve some issues.

INTERNET CONNECTION

If you have more than one internet connection, this can cause loading issues.  Disable ALL Internet Connections but one and then power off and power back on before attempting to load the game again.

More than one internet connection should not cause problems ordinarily with games, but at this point in time, it can affect Family Farm Seaside.  The developers have assured me that they are working on a fix for this bug.

RESETTING THE IPAD

One of the more comprehensive and drastic methods of solving issues is to reset the IPad completely.  You do this as follows:

First close all open Apps by hitting the Home Button twice.  You will see all Open Apps in windows on the Home Screen.  Swipe each from bottom to top to remove it, thus closing it.  Once all are closed, hold down the Home Button WITH the Sleep/Wake (Power Off/On) Button until the Apple Logo appears on the screen, then let go of the Buttons.

You then may be able to power off the tablet and then power on again and find that the issue has been solved.

Otherwise, you may see a plug displayed on your screen as well as an ITunes logo.  This means that you need to connect your IPad to your laptop or computer to sync it with ITunes, thereby resetting it completely.

Note that I am not an expert in technical matters.  I simply am sharing some of the potential solutions to loading issues that were sent to me.
